Inner Struggle

Only one review on this game... might as well, but there isnt a lot of substance to talk about. Inner Struggle is a very simple and repetitive endless runner, blending a 2D map with 3D monsters. Aside from the huge spider like creature that creeps right behind you, there are two other monster types that appear at random. The little bit of story seems to imply that the game symbolises running away from your struggles and fears. Theres nothing really engaging except beating your own high score. Its comparable to Flappy Bird. Would have been a lot better if there were unlockables or different stages, but thats a 1€ game for you. Inner Struggle is an endless loop game that brought back a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of Flappy Bird/Chrome Dino. The game left me thoughtful and reflective, as "Sophie" (the main character) seems to be trying to escape her mental s t r u g g l e s such as failure, overload, and depression, but repeatedly fails to deal with (or maybe she can?). I found the message it conveys to be incredible, since I really enjoy dark themes. The developer appears to be very responsive, addressing all reported bugs and fixing them within days. Considering this seems to be the company's first published game, I would say it's an excellent start! Good job!
