Believe it or not, IRREVERSIBLE is not an asset flip. While the game is made primarily out of other people's assets, with placeholder/stock assets and engine elements all taken from asset stores, the developer credited the people who created those assets, which means this isn't the usual attempt to pass of someone else's work as their own. However, while we understandably must call out and warn gamers about the unethical behaviour behind plagiarism and asset flipping, there's the other main reason we hate asset flips (even if this isn't one). It's because they're awful if you try to take them seriously as a game. This is because, and it should be no surprise, when "developers" can't work out how to create their own professional game assets, or lack the budget to hire staff who can, it turns out they're also not really capable or competent at any of the other parts of game development either. And that results in awful games. Games like IRREVERSIBLE. So this is your usual first person horror adventure/FPS, and just like it's asset flip cash grab cousins, it's really badly made, unpolished, slapped together, with comically bad AI augmented text-to-speech dialogue (sounds so woo…

Never thought I'd play a horror FPS game where a bird creature teaches you about communism Edit: Considering this game has such few reviews I figured it might be productive to give a more serious review as well. Because from what I can see, I'll be the first one to actually leave mine as a positive one. However there are a lot of things to keep in mind before your purchase and you really need to come into it with the right expectations. Let's get the criticism out of the way first. The game is very buggy and janky. It would have definitely benefited from some more time and polish before it was released. I do believe the developer was a bit overambitious in what they wanted to make and I think the developer would have benefited from making it a bit smaller scale. The game also features AI voice acting, which I don't mind the idea of, but the execution was often very poor, leading to some very funny sounding voice lines that very much took me out of the otherwise serious tone the game was going for. One of the worst horror game I've played as of yet. There are a few good things that the creator made, but loads of the bad parts. The creator has some amazing dedications in making the whole lore part of the story, but I didn't pay attention because it was too boring and so long. The 2-3 jumpscares scared me, then it become so often, I actually got annoyed instead of scared. It was also slowing me down and keeps fading to black which slows down my progress a lot. It also keeps on setting off the jumpscares even though you already activated it before becoming more annoying. AND DON'T GET ME ON THE MONSTERS MOBS, THEY ARE ALL SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ANNOYING AND I THOUGHT SHOTGUN WAS SUPPOSED TO 1 SHOT THEM OR SOMETHING. 9/10 for effort in trying to make a game. 1/10 for the game itself, could use better storytelling.

I am recording a video on this game, and the video's title is "The Worst Steam Games I Found for Horror Games." That should give you an idea of what type of game this is. If it's on my video playlist, then it's not that great. The developers just need more time to really polish up the game and improve the dialogue, voiceovers, and overall experience with the monsters. They should remove all AI voices, ensure the subtitles match the characters, and do a better job on the map. Overall, it needs a 100% overhaul in quality. Do I recommend it? No, but you could play it if you want. Have fun spending $1.07!

To start with, I'm a little on the fence with this one. It's alright. It's not the worst thing I've played, but it certainly isn't the best. Some of the text could do with a little work (I found some things that were poorly translated to English, but it didn't hinder gameplay much), and some of the animations / mechanics could also do with some work. First off, here's what I don't like: 1. The AI voices are really badly done if I'm honest, and sometimes they whisper for no apparent reason (Like... why does the main character have to whisper when only him and the sheriff are there?) 2. The animations don't stop when you kill something. I shot a zombie 4 times before I realized it was actually dead because it didn't stop moving. 3. There are these random bird characters that you happen to stumble across that don't seem to add anything to the story. Instead, they're only really used as a quick way of getting more ammo (You prompt them for it, and they just give it to you. Why not use a vending machine? You’re unlikely to come across a horror FPS quite like this: within its first hour, you’ll battle bizarre monsters, endure some outlandishly cheap jump scares, and, if you’re lucky, get lectured about communism by a bird creature. It’s a unique combination only possible via pure indie ambition—perhaps more ambition than experience, though. Let’s get the major stumbling blocks out front. The game’s menus and most text are locked to Russian, with in-game dialogue in English, which leaves non-Russian speakers fumbling in the dark. There are no options to change the language. Almost all voices are clearly AI-generated, and the results are inconsistent and occasionally broken (at least one female character inexplicably shifts to a male voice for a line). The writing is, at times, overly verbose and just as clearly machine-written. Subtitles rarely match what you’re hearing. The introduction can set you up for failure—enemies might swarm your bike before you can pick up a weapon, which forces a death you can’t skip or easily recover from. If you do push past these rough edges, you’ll find that enemy AI doesn’t follow normal rules: monsters never stop chasing you, even phasing throu…
