Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch

Ill start by saying I love Jay and Silent Bob so at the end of the day I probably still would buy an play this but I waited years for this to come out and when it finally does its got bugs and felt like crap to play they do an update that did make it feel better to play but still had a bug that made playing with a friend on remote play really suck but we push through it only to realize this game is over... it was incredibly short it had a lack of voice lines and really anything that would draw me back to it. If you catch this game between 2-5 dollars and wanna have a lil nostalgia kick go for it but yeah really lack luster.

This game needs more time in the oven. It's decent but there are a lot of better games in the genre. With a few more patches this game could receive my recommendation but as it stands there's not much to say about it. Pros 1. The hand drawn graphics are really nice. 2. The music is catchy. 3. The hits feels satisfying with weight to them and the enemies have these goofy looks when they are being punished. 4. The game has some nice dial in combos. 5. Some of the enemies requires you to think. You can't just button mash your way to victory. Cons 1. Severe lack of content. After beating it nothing unlocks. No other game modes. Not even a difficultly setting. You only get an artwork gallery. 2. There is some bug encounters that I have witness where you could get stuck in the game and have to start the level over. 3. Hit detection could use some more work. 4. The block feature was useless and I almost forgot it even exist. 5. No real voice overs and no way to skip the story segments. This review is base off the first patch. Before it, the game was almost unplayable and frustration. You could get stun lock and trap because when the game came out, your character doesn't have any invinc…

I backed this game when it was first announced. I waited I think like 6 years for the release. Though it has the classic beat'em up feel I didn't expect it to be so buggy right out the gate. Especially since it took so long to come out. I still don't even have the shirt I paid for lmao! The moves are cool but for a 2026 release feel like it could have been better. Maybe I am salty cause I waited so long but I think I am just a little scorn I waited all this time, didn't get everything I paid for, and the game itself was NOT as good as all the cut scenes made it to be. Listen, Just my humble opinion, and I would take it with a grain of salt. If you're a fan, grab it especially since its cheaper now lol. If not, save the money.

if you are able to get past a ton of bugs like enemies not appearing to let you pass or little jay models that follow you and slide across the ground with no animation, which my gf and I dubbed "The Jaylings" It is incredibly fun and could have a good future given more bug fixes and content updates. Also nerf the lariats, thats incredibly unfun to play against.

After backing this game for quite a bit of money and giving them a decade to cook, the result is simply not worth it. The game is under-polished. Interabang is not responsive and will not even answer questions about missing backer rewards. I almost never leave negative reviews, but they earned it. Don't reward them with your money.

28 minutes in and had to restart the levels twice, because the game wouldn't let me advance. First time immediately upon entering the Quick Stop and beating the first batch of enemies (screen wouldn't progress to the right), and the second time in the park just past the fallen tree. Uninstalled after that... still far too buggy to play right now.
