Johnny Explorer

Johnny Explorer is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This is an extremely poor quality, highly generic 2D retro pixel platformer that is indistinguishable from an asset flip (although I am mostly sure it's not, with the exception of being dumped out lazily using a webkit platformer template, I don't think the sprites are stolen from anywhere). The only really notable thing here is the obvious copyright infringement from Speilbergs beloved Indiana Jones films, and we can most certainly hope that Spielberg/Amblin will deliver a cease and desist. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
