Labour of love!
Having spoken with the developer on several occasions over about this project as well as having played the demo, I have grown to attached to the style, witty narration and hand-crafted design & layout that make up this small gem of a game. Staying true to the origins of JRPG, the vessel used to tell the story of the protagonist's journey, is used in a fitting manner. The sheer passion of the developer shines through in every aspect of this game - and it shows in terms of depth and love to detail. Highly recommend it to fans of classic/retro, story-driven (J)RPGs who aim to get immersed by a game, its characters and the protagonist's development. Plays great on Steam Deck as well - no need to remap any input.3 found this helpful
Great single player experience so far! It definitly captures the feeling of old school action-rpg's while giving it is own unique and fresh note to it. So recommend everyone that likes those to give this one a try!1 found this helpful
Simple, yet outstanding. Played it mostly offline because of it being singleplayer . A short overview: PROS + Continent with four dungeons plus mansion/world tree/castle + Four towns full of characters/shops and even hidden stuff (items/small bosses) + Four character classes with soul dancer glass cannon (can be played with only one char too) + More hidden content in the mansion (shown in demo and on the broadcasts) + Fighting mechanics using the many techniques (magic works, weakness could be stronger) + Funny dialogues and no millenial writing that goes on for ages + You can choose any char to go in front and then you can actually ride on the horse with that one + Great BGM CONS - Enemies feel a little strong in the beginning, gets a lot better after lvl 5 (go to the port town and clear the well) - Many people probably do not understand that you can go resolution -> widescreen (original res is fine though) COMMENT Took me about seven hours but could be different for you. Could be even longer but more content is planned. Just feels like the creator is not getting anything because people do not convert their wishlists... So might be taking a while without the money. Btw a lot…
