Memory Hunters

"Memory Hunters" is a badly made "I can't believe it's not RPG Maker" JRPG pixelcrapfest with a focus on puzzles and another focus on looking bad. The puzzles aren't great, the graphics are awful, it's no wonder gamers largely ignored this. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $4 "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad …

Boring... move on. Developer is also high off their own farts and e-begs.

Amusing game. More people should try it.
