Journey to Foundation

I believe this game deserves a better rating than 'mixed'. It's a solid linear adventure with good voice acting and Telltale style choices. If you're not familiar with the TV show or books I can see the lore being a little overwhelming but it does have an encyclopedia of optional info to read. The gameplay isn't super in-depth but the story pushes everything along, its never boring. When you're not having conversations and making pivotal choices you will be having shoot outs with 3 different blaster types, some light exploring, and occasionally "hacking" doing the same type of puzzle each time. Performance wasn't terrible. I just wish the ending wasn't a cliffhanger.

6/10. Aggressively linear, middle of road adventure game with a decent story, above average, fantastic voice acting, and below average everything else. Took ~6.5 Hours to roll credits on PSVR2 via PC adapter. I would say stay away if you do not like Telltale style, narrative driven, "talking heads" games. I am a huge fan of the books, kind of hate watch the show. This game attempts to do a hybrid of both, while telling it's own self contained story, planets, culture, cast of characters. The voice acting is pretty great. The writing is pretty alright. Every once in a while, the environmental design would have a tiny spark of beauty. The graphics and gameplay in the game are otherwise reminiscent of a Wii game. This thing screams a shelved quest 2 title that they pulled off the shelf, started development on, and reached first draft pass / "minimum viable product" stage to publish before their studio went bankrupt and closed. They probably intended to go back on a second pass and flesh things out, patch in better graphics, refine the gameplay, but never got the chance. I don't really understand the hate this game gets. Yea the gameplay could be much better especially the shooting sections and the choices are a bit bland and predictable but it has an actual good story with good voice acting which is much more than many vr games have. if you get this in a sale for much cheaper it's a fun little game

Unfortunately the game did not start when using SteamVR. I got a fatal error. Without SteamVR the game did start. I tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling SteamVR, I reinstalled my drivers, turned my pc and VRheadset on and off but it did not work. I am on a Quest 3s so maybe it works with other devices. Maybe its a problem with SteamVR. I would love to know if anyone has found a fix.

dumb someone wrote magic math telling him the future of the universe in the equations it's like people seeing prophecies in the bible, but with pai and integrals facepalmed and refunded *potentially* interesting mechanics though. will check out if dev makes a better game. i wonder what the original asimov writing was about and if it was equally dumb

other than the fact that I must set virtual desktop mode from SteamVR to VXDR, poor graphics lame interface made me request a refund after 25 minutes.
