About JR EAST Train Simulator
Feature
- High-definition images of JR East's train lines are captured in live-action. You can drive the train from the same perspective as the driver.
- You can enjoy driving from the same point of view as the driver.
- The sounds emitted from the trains and tracks in the simulator are recorded by JR East using actual trains, so you can experience the realistic running sounds that a driver would feel comfortable driving.
- The instrument panel displays the speedometer and other data just like the actual vehicle, and operates faithfully according to driving operations, speed, etc. The sound and instrument panel display will switch to that of the vehicle when the type of vehicle being experienced is changed.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's exceptional authenticity as a faithful train-driving simulator with realistic physics, genuine cab interfaces, signal systems, and recorded announcements based on real Japanese railways. Common complaints include the high price of DLC content, limited camera angles that restrict visibility to mostly forward-facing views, and occasional missing features like station arrival announcements that would enhance immersion.
This is not really a game. It is an authentic train-driving experience adapted from an official training simulator. This simulator is released directly by East Japan Railway Company, the JR branch operating lines in the Kanto, Shinetsu, and Tohoku areas. With additional DLCs, you can drive on dozens of routes, not only from JR East, but also from other JR branches and some private railway companies. More routes are expected to be added in the future. The motor sounds, announcements, pointing-and-calling voices, signal systems, timetables, and cab interfaces are all faithfully modeled or recorded based on their real-life counterparts. Everything works the way it should, and the overall atmosphere is extremely authentic. The lack of a scoring system is also a good design choice. It lets you fully immerse yourself in the driving experience without being interrupted by unnecessary notifications or game-like feedback. That said, I would love to see more train melodies included. I genuinely love this railway simulator. However, it also has several drawbacks that prevent it from becoming more popular. First, the DLC prices are extremely high in the eyes of most players. verry nice. only down side you cant look aoround
This game is not good because everytime I reach the final terminus station my game stutters like crazy and I have to keep reopening the game so I don't stay stuck with stuttering.
Just not for me. Game looks old and is not really a game, more like you driving a video. The only pro is the native MasCon compatibility out of the box. The cost of the add-ons are just outrageous. Running Train is much better, don’t waste your time or money on JR.
Good quality. Want some more announcements though.
it worked well
