Just A Walk In The Park

I think this game has a good concept as a pseudo walking simulator that turns into an escape room / puzzle adventure type game. It's a neat concept to get you invested in solving the puzzles. Unfortunately, the experience is let down by just the overall clunkiness of the game. Simple stuff like picking stuff up feels super clunky, as well as other simple stuff like opening doors or even using the holster system. A lot of the interactions are just really point & click or highlight & grab type interactions. The visuals look good in some areas, but for most areas they are subpar. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly 72 fps (default on Quest 3). I did experience at least one serious issues bug, my flashlight did go missing at some point when I thought I had put it on the holster. And some items seemed to jump from one place or another. I love this game. It starts off with a nice walk in a nature park (which could be a game all by itself), then goes from pleasant and relaxing to creepy and intense when you are kidnapped and locked in a room in a building in a compound built in the middle of a swamp. You need to solve puzzles and explore the compound to survive and escape. It is both fun and challenging! It has a great background story that you learn as you go through the various clues such as newspaper articles, photos and other belongings of your kidnappers. You can honestly beat this game and then play it again and discover things you never noticed the first time through. I recommend this game for anyone who likes creepy things and likes to solve puzzles and mysteries.

Beautiful walk in the park until you run into the crazy hillbilly swamp people. Puzzles to figure out and read the control sign before you start your walk and load up your backpack with food and drinks every chance you get. There is only one thing I did not like and that was having to restart from the beginning and as far as I can tell, no way to save your place in the game. Perhaps the creators may change this. I hope so. Over all, I really enjoy the game.

This is not just a walk in the park, as you will end up somewhere else before you know it. It is kind of a spooky mystery escape game that does kind of remind me of the old style of Myst games. However, it is in VR and with really wonky physics. The game is interesting and eerie as you get to read more of the story and hopefully solve all the puzzles and eventually escape. However, you may end up dying due to no fault of your own when something with the physics decided to launch your head through a ceiling or the bridge suddenly decided to bounce out of the way. Or, you could get to a point that something has now bounced out of reach and there is nothing you can do other than start over. Like a key is now impossible to reach or a certain fuse popped out to outer space. The game itself is entertaining though, as a single play through. It could take you hours to solve pending how good you are at escape room style puzzles. But, when you die, you start over, so at least you start to get quicker at solving the starter puzzles. This was a really fun experience, with all the puzzles it reminded me of Myst, but more spooky. I did several runs so I could take the time to explore everything, there is an incredible amount of detail if you take the time to look. The devs put some serious time in. Really fun concept, I felt like I had to get out of there. I just wanted to get back to my car. haha Kind of escape room like, but with multiple rooms and a threat looming. The puzzles are creative and challenging, but not too hard. If you look around and read everything it all becomes clear. I would recommend this game, its got replay potential so you can explore everything. I read some of the other reviews and Ill say I didn't have the same experience as FastLawyer, everything seemed to work just fine for me. The way you grab objects and can handle them in any orientation makes you handle stuff with care. On my first play through I dropped something in the water, but that was totally my fault, and I learned that I need to be just as careful with stuff as I am in RL.
