About Katana Rama
Katana Rama is a fast paced action game where you play as a hacker program, with the mission of breaking out of a digital security system. Lay waste to all that stands in your way.
Settings:
In a digital security fortress. Your mission: to hack through their defenses and retrieve a stolen program as you escape.
Combat:
Mobility Is everything:
-Enemies will unleash barrages of both melee and projectile attacks. Stay mobile is the only way you can stay clear of these attacks. In short: DON'T STOP MOVING.
One Hit One Kill:
-Your weapon has the ability to kill most enemies with one swift attack and at the same time, convert the data of slain enemies into energy. With more enemies slain, more energy is gained.
- With enough energy stored, you can break through doors between chambers or shields of heavier enemies to stun them. Allowing you to go for the kill.
Other Features:
- Eye catching low-poly art-style inspired by early 64-bit video games.
- Fight your way through a procedurally assembled dungeon, randomizing from room to room.
- Challenging boss fights awaits in end of every dungeons. you'll need to master every tool in your disposal to come out on top.

I'm saying this in the nicest way possible, the game is bad. Camera is very wonky, especially with the target lock, which is also buggy, wall running (and honestly every interaction with a wall) is weird and buggy, each chapter has one "unique" room copy and pasted 10 times in that chapter, with like 0 differences. Also for a game that *seems* to want to be about cool movement and all that, what it ends up being is just target lock and spam attack, with 0 reason to do anything else, except from when you are too far from an enemy, which you can usually just reach with a dash. You also have no incentive to do anything else because the movement does not feel that good, the dash locks you in a path, the wall stuff sucks, etc etc. The attack and target lock are buggy, when target locking, you cannot be too close to a target, or it will not trigger, and when not target locked, if you try to attack, it will usually only start attacking after a few clicks randomly - which is general problem with the game (being unresponsive - probably due to bugs). The bosses are awful and pose no challenge, you can just jump and dash around and you will not get hit, you are just jumping and dashing around…5 found this helpful
too short, might refund after trying hard mode i'd only recommend this if the price were about $1, but i got it for 2.49, and even that feels too much for how little there is here1 found this helpful
Zephyrihanna is a great singer, thank you for introducing her to me! Game is short and sweet. I would recommend it. Hard to justify 10 dollars, considering its short playtime, I personally got it on sale. I understand indie projects have to make back their investment in development, but 10$ price point is hard to justify, since the world itself is rather contained and limited. The mechanics and boss combat design is cool but I don't think that is enough to bring it up there. The gameplay loop isn't on par with say Superhot, another indie title with a minimal design but engaging gameplay. Maybe if more emphasis was put on making the grunts more challenging would be able to bring this game to the next level. I think 5 dollars would be more reasonable for a game like this, as it is. The price of a coffee, sounds like what this is worth, and I think it would end up resulting in more players, would help support future projects.1 found this helpful
Boring! The one hit kill and dash to enemy combat system makes the game boring as hell. The bosses might be more fun, but I haven't bothered since the normal rooms suck. A traditional hack n Slash Rogue-like would have been way more entertaining and stisfying to play. I should have looked videos before buying. Edit: Or maybe trying the Demo.
30 minutes game, buy at 75% discount at least is it good?.... it is ok Is it clunky?..... it is It is revolutionary?.... it is not Enjoyable?.... with no expectation it can be
has some good ideas and great music, but its janky and short. Its really easy too, until the end. It feels like its missing several levels to add rising difficulty, and the janky parts of the game make the final boss nuisance. There is a hard mode, but that final boss ain't worth it
