Keyboard Killers is a very simple reflex game built around typing fast enough to destroy incoming meteors. I am basically sitting there watching letters appear on the screen and trying to hit the right key before the meteor reaches my ship. The idea is almost ridiculously straightforward, but I actually like how quickly it gets going. There is no story to learn or complicated system to understand. I just start typing and try to get faster. There are 28 levels split across four difficulty settings, and each level has its own rock song playing in the background. The later levels become much more demanding, with the amount of typing I need to do increasing to the point where I have to react almost instantly. I like that the difficulty comes from speed rather than from adding loads of complicated mechanics. Once I get into the rhythm, I can find myself concentrating completely on the next letter while trying not to make a mistake. The music is probably the part that gives the game more personality than it really needs. This is barely a game. Maybe a weak knockoff of rock band or something, but the music is very bland, the graphics aren't appealing, the font and design is uninspired. I will say that if you were learning how to type fast, or practice reactively pressing keys it may help but idk if it's practical enough to have any use outside in other applications. Can't all be winners...hard pass from me.
