This interactive virtual reality experience transports the viewer to a fantasy world where they must help Camila and her father create clouds from sheep wool to nurture the land below.
The viewer finds themsleves in a virtual hot air balloon as they uncover a miniature farm above the mountain-tops. Camila's life is turned upside down as a series of wildfires burn their home and kill her papá. As the long days pass, Camila struggles to fill her papá's shoes and create new clouds for the dying world below.

La Camila: A VR Story is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, La Camila: A VR Story is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. This is a short Youtube VR video that was dumped on Steam as if it was a game, and wow. I mean, how desperate do you need to be as an "artist" that you have to try mislead gamers into watching your CGI video by trying to convince them it's actually a video game? The subject of this short film is a young shepherd girl who needs to take over the family shepherding business during a natural disaster. As opposed to this non-game art project, which is an artificial disaster. We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever your usual Starbucks barista/McDonalds frycook art school dropout finally gets a restraining order from the local art galleries so turns to Steam Direct to try get their art published somewhere so they can finally dream of moving out of their parents basement. I think I understand what this story is about. It seems clear, but not crystal clear. Regardless, its beautiful! Not sure if there is supposed to be no sound, but it does launch without audio, and I could not find a way to play it other than silently.
