The invaders don't tolerate anything except total obedience, taking our fellows into slavery, taking away the lands that we conquered with sweat and blood. That's enough! The time has come to show what we can do! Let's take up arms, brethren, and together we will succeed in crushing the insatiable Roman Empire!
Last Day of Rome is a new word in the world of historical strategies that will allow you to repeat the feats of great warriors starting from the 2nd century AD. Reach even greater heights by uniting diverse tribes under the same banner! Whether it is diplomacy or brute force - it's only up you to decide how to lead your people to worldwide fame and recognition!
The unique battle system will immerse you in the atmosphere of fighting not for life, but for death. You are given 8 factions to choose from, each of which has its own infantry, cavalry and archers. The unit combinations of each faction are unique, so think over your strategy to the smallest detail and try to walk through the path of war, playing for many tribes!
Achieve recognition from friendly nations, make truces and create alliances, bring a powerful army to Rome, so that their legions will flee in fear!
Construct as many buildings in the capital as possible, providing development and prosperity to your people, and then proceed to enrich the conquered lands. More than 230 regions are available for conquest!
Take revenge on the heartless Romans and prove that your people are not barbarians, but proud nation!

Don't buy this game; it's not even worth paying $1.00 for in it's current format. Screen resolution is not adjustable and once you start campaign mode you can't even make a tribe selection on the very first screen because the bottom sixth or so of the screen is not viewable. I use a wide screen monitor in native 2560 x 1080 and tried to force steam to change the resolution to lower with no impact. I don't give negative reviews in general but I felt the need to advise you of what you're not getting for your money; it's called a gaming experience.5 found this helpful

I just started playing this game in 7/24: and, I'm amazed at how fun it is. I do prefer micro-mgmt games, and this one nicely fits that billet. There's enough strategy and tactics, that the card-based battles are enjoyable (and a bit un-nerving). In 10+ of game time, I've only encountered one bug--got stuck in the middle of a battle. Otherwise, I've not experienced bugs. The game is simple looking but don't let that fool you. It's quite a complex game with many facets for consideration. I love the "upgrade" feature for every combat unit. This gives me tons of flexibility. Get while it's on sale (50%). At that price, it's a steal.1 found this helpful
I had a difficult time getting used to this game. The town layout reminded me of HoMM3 a bit, and I liked the idea. The combat was the most difficult to get used too. It felt clunky, and I thought the cards were freezing up and the game was crashing, but in reality, I wasn't understanding the reason for the cards not moving like I thought they should. after spending some more time with the game, I have begun to like it much more. Overall, I would describe the game play as dry, and not very thrilling, but it is interesting and engaging, if that makes sense to you. If you love history and want a more simple type of game than say, the Total War series, this can fill that spot.1 found this helpful
what a cheap crap. at first a big historic fail: Goths were changed to Getae??? West goths and Greutungi (East goths) were placed around? Looks like fake history from Balkan that Goths = Getae. the last king of the Getae was 105 AD...the game is placed some centuries later. Getae were Dacians and part of Thracian tribes, hellenic influenced. GAME: may be ok for a 5 bucks mobile game. I played a similiar game with ww2 content before, years ago. same kind of battles. This is not really a card game. this has nothing to do with it. You can only choose which unit (unit =cards) should attack. not more not less. You can easy replace "cards" with common "units" the management is more an IDLE!!! game!!! really! This is less a real grand strategy /4K game than medieval1 from 2001 playing with auto battle. EDIT try out YIELD instead. is not a Total War and not a Civ.. but it makes fun and is competitive.but here this is waste of time. Centurion Def of rome 35 years ago was a better game
