I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…2 found this helpful
RPG Maker strikes again! Last Heroes 4 is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Just like the previous games in the same series, everything is copy + pasted, badly, and the writing is terrible even compared to other RPG Maker asset flips. It's infested with spelling and grammatical errors to accompany the terrible writing. Gameplay is stupidly imbalanced and pointless. It's like someone drank a bottle of vodka, threw up, then in a blind drunken rage, filled out templates in RPG Maker. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be…2 found this helpful

After Last Heroes 2 and 3 took the series to rock bottom with endless backtracking, pointless story, and game-breaking bugs, Last Heroes 4 is a return to form and is surpassed only by the original Last Heroes as the best installment of the series. But that's not saying much. At all. Give credit where credit is due: With Last Heroes 4 developer Warfare Studios seemed to have finally learned that padding a game's length by forcing the player to slog through every encounter and traverse every dungeon multiple times is a bad idea. Enemies aren't quite as slow-moving and paths not quite as spacious as they were in Last Heroes 1, but you can still make your way through without having to fight too many enemies if you take a little care. And while there is backtracking, it at least fits with the story and is not at the insane level seen in Last Heroes 2 and 3. My first playthrough clocked in at 3 hours and 45 minutes, making it the shortest game in the series by a hair. Which is a good thing, because Last Heroes is always at its best when it's fast-paced. However, if you were hoping for a satisfying resolution to the series storyline, you're going to be disappointed. Amelia's long…
