About 蕾拉 Layla

“Layla” is a walking simulation and visual novel combined game about a story of memories of old times.

A journey back to the hometown
Come to Alaska in the 1950s, live here for a year and experience the landscape in all seasons.

A story of a family and a little bear
See how a bear and a family are connected by memories of the past.

And a beautiful old time
A gentle bedtime story, hope you can accompany the story, forget some unpleasant things and relax your mood.

“Layla” is my first game developed independently, I hope you can enjoy it.
Have a good day!

✦ AI summary

Players praise this walking simulation for its heartwarming story about childhood memories with grandparents and a cute bear companion, along with its visually appealing scenery and calm, relaxing atmosphere. However, some encounter technical issues including music stopping abruptly, endless walking sections that lead to falling off the map, and occasional black screen bugs after the introduction, though restarting and using the chapter select menu can resolve these problems.

This game is a short story walking simulation about a man named Joe reliving memories of his childhood with his grandparents and a bear cub named Layla. Overall the game's story was very cute and heartwarming. It is visually pleasing to the eyes from the scenery and colors. It is quite calm and enjoyable and the little bear is super cute. However i did come across a few issues: There was a part of the story in which the music ended up stopping and i seemed to walk enlessly until the edge of the map until i fell off somehow and the game bugged out after that. I also was initially stuck on a black screen after the introduction. However these two issues were quickly resolved by restarting the game and going back to the chapter in the time area of the set up menu. I would have liked to see an option to pause the text, because at some points it would move very fast and would be a bit difficult for people who don't read that fast. I also think an option to increase or decrease volume would have been good too. All in all, the game was actually good as the publisher's first independent game. It has a lot of potential for the future and for future games. I quite enjoyed it and thought…
