The Traditional mode temple is enjoyable... the temple you unlock next is fairly boring... and the slide temple is just ... terrible unfortunately the slide temple you have to do a few of to unlock the more interesting sounding ones(triple/rivers)... and I don't have it in me to do more of the slide temple to unlock the rest.3 found this helpful
There's a reason Mahjong is timeless. It's because first, anyone can play. And second, the level of difficulty is perfect. You don't have to re-invent the wheel here, which is kinda what Legendary Mahjong tries to do. Between making levels that are so easy a kindergartener could do it (numbers) and so hard that you need a degree in physics to complete it (slide) to modes you can't actually lose because they require no skill (rivers and triple) I'm not sure what the creators were trying to do here. When people want to play new mahjong games, they're looking for fun tilesets and the like. This game could have been really cool if the unlocks were tilesets. Also, I unlocked the celestial gate and there's apparently no way to get back to the classic mode, which I was actually looking forward to playing. Alas.1 found this helpful
I do wish games like this wouldn't get just left to rot when they are one of the only games in that category. I love this game and after getting a steam deck hoped it would be fun to play on it but due to the obvious lack of controller support it just feels kind of awkward. Like I said there are next to no Mahjong games on steam, the others seeming sketchy anyway. It would be great if a game like this made the effort to update what was necessary to support newer devices that can access the platform they are selling the product on. Maybe in the future but right now it doesn't seem like that will happen
