About Life in the Dorms

Your roommate's a serial killer, your RA's in love with you, and all your closest friends are miles away. Is this really what college is like?

Join Dack Peeples—a kid who started feeling homesick before he even left home—as he tries to survive all the typical college orientation experiences, like meeting your hallmates, going on scavenger hunts...fighting wild animals...performing unlicensed surgery on your friend's mom...and ultimately learning the true meaning of ramen noodles. (I mean friendship.)

One of my favorite games from the selection of xbox indie live games. This game is so charming and it surprisingly still held up in the current year for me. I was ecstatic to see this game on steam, and getting to replay it was such an enjoyable experience. Especially worth a try since it is free now. I really wish the dev could have uploaded office disorders as well, or that we could have seen more from them. Anyways, it's an amazing game I will hold close to my heart!

This game is actually pretty good. Originally from the Xbox 360 indie game marketplace, it's actually a fairly well made adventure game that takes inspiration from Sam and Max (hence the references made throughout). By the looks of it, this isn't really a PC port per se, but more of the Xbox 360 build being put on Steam and itch.io as you need a controller to play plus there doesn't appear to be any display options The style is pretty neat, character designs remind me of MySims with the heads being not exactly round, but not exactly square either. The animations are pretty stiff, but it's also an Xbox 360 indie game so I can't really expect much. No offense. The game has some pretty funny moments, but to be honest, there are some jokes that are kinda cringy and dated. However, that's just the product of it's time, being released in 2012. The music you can tell is very.... midi-y? I guess? Not that that's inherently a bad thing, just kind of noticeable. I do like the songs from the intro and the credits, everything else was ok. The game can get kinda slow and take forever but honestly that's probably just a general problem with these kinds of games, so there isn't really much th…

"Life in the Dorms" — уютная симуляция студенческой жизни, где игрок управляет распорядком дня, учебой, дружбой и личными отношениями.

"Life in the Dorms" is a rather bland and contrived attempt at making a slice of life comedy adventure game for Xbox gamers and console peasants. What do you do in the game? Click through badly written try-hard comedy fan-fiction writing and do a few point and click puzzles. This is the kind of experience that's more fun to watch as a Youtube video than try playing yourself, and the hideous console graphics don't help at all. Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, an…
