About Rikua
Welcome to Rikua a cyberpunk roguelite game where insurgent droids have threatened the balance of power in the future of society. You, as a recruit from A.M.S.U., will hunt rogue androids down across different sci-fi environments using a mix of the three gameplay mechanics: fast-paced 3D isometric combat, third-person shooting, and side-scrolling platforming.
A ROGUELITE ADVENTURE
Different from other roguelite games we love and inspire from, in Rikua you must reach the end of the missions to push the story-line forward, earn your medals, and unlock new missions.Between runs, you will also play small metroidvania adventures - recalls from the past- that show you where Rikua comes from, and the decisions that led her to this place, as a rookie in the Anti-Metal Special Unit (A.M.S.U.).BECOME THE PERFECT ASSASSIN
Every run in every mission requires different strategies to reach the goal. Sometimes you’ll have the skills enough to reach the end with the weapons you’ve got, but other times you won’t. Thankfully, there are sponsors interested in your cause to offer you cyberpunk enhancements - boons - to make your objectives easier. From throwing grenades to sword-attached dashes, you must pick the right combination for your fighting style to become a better fighter. If that’s not enough, you must earn credits during the missions to upgrade Rikua’s lives, shields, and weapons, to become faster, deadlier, and eventually the perfect assassin no one can face and survive to tell the tale.IMPROVE YOUR REALM: CHALLENGES AND UNLOCKABLES
Between fighting in the story-line objectives, Rikua will have her hub and place to take care of. A place where she can rest, practice, and meet friendly androids - each with their own backstory. Some will care for you, but others will challenge you to unique short mini-challenges where you’ll encounter a new set of difficulties and tasks to succeed on. If you do, you will unlock decorations, music boxes, medals, and some cosmetic suits that will make your hub a serene place to rest in. A place you could call your home.WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE GAMEPLAY?
- Roguelite Story: A Hades, Dead Cells, Enter, the Gungeon roguelite game. Earn different credits, choose boons, become stronger, unlock weapons, and eventually become unstoppable against any foe.

✦ AI summary
Rikua is a challenging one-hit-death game that rewards mastery and creates genuinely tense gameplay once players adjust to its difficulty curve, with engaging characters and visuals that players appreciate. However, the game suffers from unclear UI explanations and poor tutorial guidance regarding controls and resource systems, issues that frustrate new players but don't significantly diminish the core experience for those willing to push through the initial learning phase.
Rikua is one of those games that punishes you until you get the rhythm (it´s brutal). It works on a one hit die system, which can be really frustate you for the first hour or so, but it actually makes the gameplay really exciting (every mistake cost ya), you have to "git gud". The game is till rough around the edges. I ran into a few bumps because the game didnt explain which button to press to move the story along, another example is that it is not easy to understand what the resources you gather are for. Those details aside I´m having a ball. Nice find2 found this helpful
It's been a long time since ive seen an early access game so entertaining. Despite being alpha, the game is beautiful, love the characters and the playability. Had fun playing the challenges and almost finished The Bootcamp in easy and difficult levels. Looking forward to each update from the devs!1 found this helpful
