I actually really enjoyed this. Really fun game to play on stream. I've wanted to see more paranormal games revolving around this concept for a while. Only heard about this game from that one neighbor game teaser this team or person is apparently working on. Whatever it is, I hope it's real. Excited to see that DLC this game is getting as well, if that's also still something that's coming out.5 found this helpful
Nice atmosphere, nails the tension with every aggresive (or horny) ghost encounter, loved the whispers, 10/105 found this helpful
story and gameplay make no sense3 found this helpful
A true hidden hidden gem. Imagine pointing a face detection app in the darkness and it detected something - This game never failed to give me goosebumps on every encounters. The atmosphere, sounds and entity designs were top notch for me, and extra points for a Filipino based lore.2 found this helpful
I recently played Livingmare: Cold Calls, and it took me some time to fully understand the game. I am not particularly a fan of puzzle-heavy gameplay, easy or not, since I tend to struggle when thinking under pressure, but I still gave the game a fair chance. Visually, the game looks solid, and its atmosphere and ambience are genuinely unsettling. Even without aggressive, in-your-face jumpscares, the ghost designs themselves were creepy and effective, especially during the first few encounters. That said, after several retries, the scare factor gradually wore off. Overall, I did enjoy the experience, but I ran into a few issues that affected immersion and flow. One example is with interactable objects like cabinets, which sometimes did not open properly. While this is a minor detail, it did break immersion. I also noticed some issues with level transitions. In certain parts of the game, moving between floors would reset my spawn point to the starting area of that level instead of returning me to where I previously was. For example, on the floor where a ghost chases the player, going back down the stairs caused the level to reload and place me at the starting point of the floor b…1 found this helpful
As much as I wanted to enjoy this game it didn't make a lot a lot of sense and things would just randomly happen. Very janky and unstructured :(
