About LOOM™
Long after the passing of the Second Shadow, when dragons ruled the twilight sky and the stars were bright and numerous, came the Age of the Great Guilds.
Blacksmiths. Shepherds. Clerics. Each dedicated to the absolute control of secret knowledge.
Another such Guild was the Weavers. Over the centuries, their craft transcended the limits of physical cloth, until they wove the very fabric of reality itself. Now, a strange power has swept the Weavers into oblivion, leaving behind one Weaver boy to unravel the mystery. Help young Bobbin rescue his Guild...and you just might save the universe from an unspeakable catastrophe.
An Extraordinary adventure with an interface of magic…

This game traumatized and captivated me as a child. I remember watching my dad play through the entire game. We lost the disk somehow so I never got to play it myself. All I could do was flip through the manual and occasionally search through my dad's office in the vain hope that the disk was just hiding somewhere. When I finally got around to grabbing a digital copy I was genuinely surprised how much of the game I retained from literally decades ago. Just about every screen and puzzle was engrained in my neurons. Crazy how some things stick with you.
A fantastic and lifeful but short experience. Bring back low cortisol game design. Use pen and paper.
Loom is a charming game set in a fantasy world of guilds. The main character solves problems by using spells made of musical notes. Looks old fashioned now but it still plays really well.
This game is awesome! Music-based Spells is a great system. Having to take notes IRL makes you feel IN the game. People definitely doesn't make games like in the old days. Cheap enough to try it. You won't regret if you loves old Adventure games like Monkey Island franchise.
It plays very well (after I figured out, that it has an actual safe option and I don't have to start over, because I forgot to safe but that's a story for another day..). The story makes sense, the music is very well chosen, a lot of "Wait what?!" moments, a lot of laughter and some rollercoaster of emotions.
Just as good as I remember when I first played it in the early 90s
