Loop is a calm, reflective puzzle-adventure that invites the player into a world built more on mood and visual texture than on traditional storytelling. Developed and published by Team Chili, it presents itself as a quiet journey through an abstract temple filled with shifting architecture, glowing pathways, and dreamlike structures that evoke a sense of wandering through memory rather than a physical place. There is no spoken dialogue, no explicit narrative exposition, and no heavy-handed guidance. Instead, the game leans on atmosphere, color, and gentle pacing to make each step feel introspective. You are accompanied throughout by a small spirit guide—a silent companion whose presence adds a sense of warmth and quiet support as you progress deeper through the temple’s layered spaces. The strength of Loop lies in its visual and emotional design rather than its complexity. The art style is deliberately minimalist: soft lines, restrained color palettes, and simple geometric forms combine to create an environment that feels both mysterious and soothing. Light plays a central role in shaping the mood of each area—soft pulses, subtle gradients, and floating motes help create an ambian…3 found this helpful
This is the type of game that is helpful for deep depression, meditation or for decompression. Every game has an optimal time for playthrough. I have played this through another account and even though I have just started on this one, it is now become a regular feature for me. I really need this beautiful art style and music to unwind my mind. Perfect 10 for those kind of scearios.3 found this helpful
Pretty ok puzzle game.2 found this helpful
This game is not a puzzle game, it's an isometric walking sim. The only good thing it has going for it are the stylized graphics and music, that's it. The game itself is horrible. The most dull thing ever. This is a masterclass in lazy level design. Seriously, let me put it like this: if you played the game for 5min, you basically played the whole game. There will be nothing new. You do the EXACT same thing over and over, just on a larger scale. The only thing that you do: push a block veeeeeeery slowly on top of a switch to activate a platform or a gate, that's it. Extremely linear. There is nothing else! Maybe someone with the IQ of a jellyfish could consider this a puzzle. I think there is more challenge in those toddler's toys where you have to fit the correct shape into the hole, like a cube into a square hole, a cylinder into a round hole, etc...1 found this helpful
Loop is a simple, yet beautifully crafted casual puzzler/walking sim, with focus on atmosphere and silent storytelling. The gameplay consists of you helping out your AI master complete puzzles, in a relaxing environment, to clear the world of chaos. You achieve this buy pushing blocks, stacking blocks, pressing buttons and open gates to continue your path forward. Each level/area is connected through these moving platforms, that i swear are either bats or birds, and gives you some time to kick back and relax. The story of loop is also told pretty well, without the use of dialogue. The visuals of the game are bright and vibrant. Pleasing to the eyes, and helps deliver a relaxing vibe. Even when i was traversing the chaotic areas of the game, i couldn't help but feel relaxed. In addition to being relaxing, clearing each chaotic area of its chaos also is empathized well in the transition of chaos -> peace, as you cleanse them. This game has audio! (shocker) And god, does it fit well. Nothing felt "overpowering", everything blended together well. Stunning music, amazing sound effects and good feedback on completion of things (especially the bells). It all comes together with the vis…1 found this helpful
Right off the bat, let me just say that Loop is fine, okay., average. It's not a bad game by any means, but it's also not great. I don't think anyone is really missing out on much if they don't play this. The art style and storytelling approach is decent enough, and at times reminded me of Monument Valley. The soundtrack is very minimalist until the times when it isn't, at which point it punches far above its weight. The gameplay mechanics are shallow, with the game definitely not needing to be any longer than it is. The simplicity of the mechanics and the lack of brainpower required to utilise them to solve the puzzles means that there's not really any sense of accomplishment. The game's egregious mistake, however—and the primary reason I'm saying "No" to recommending—is that one level has a bug in it that prevents the puzzle solution from being accepted as being complete unless the player does so in a very specific order. Typically, the game is quite good at stopping the player from soft-locking themselves, primarily by ensuring borders are left between blocks and the edges of platforms so they can be pushed back into play. However, this diligence is completely missing from th…
