About Lootbox RPG
Lootbox is a nice little dungeon crawler that will take you directly to hell. Being one of His Great Unholinesses sons, you are about to set on a quest that will lead you to various places until you finally have the chance to help your father defend the realm against its enemies. If you want it or not. So, do as you are commanded, naughty brat.
The satisfying dungeon crawler is here!
"Oh no, an incoming call!"
no real time decisions, you can safely interrupt the game at any point.
"So late already?"
no need to exit the game, a real world clock can be switched on optionally.
"What? I AM DEAD?"
No permadeath, this is no rogue-clone. You can load/save at any time, or return to safety without losing all your money or equipped items.
"Damn! I died and I forgot to save!"
The game is autosaved every level, don't panic.
"If I only could teach those damn rats what I've learned..."
You can come back to your old friends and show them your uber gear.
"Nice game, but my smartphone is over 5 years old..."
The game runs well on older devices, happy playing!
"Where can I buy money?"
Nowhere. This game is OFFLINE and there is NO Pay-To-Win mechanism. Sorry.
"Where is the chatroom?"
There are enough messengers already in the world, right?
"Where do I have to register?"
Register what? This game is OFFLINE. I don't need your data, thanks anyway.
"Where is the premium version?"
There isn't. Buy once, play endless.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
I bought Baldur's Gate 3, and then stumbled across Lootbox on iOS, and bought it on Steam shortly after. I like it much, much more than Baldur's Gate 3. As the tagline says, it's satisfying dungeon crawling -- a bit confining at the start, but as you progress there is a world to explore, a ton of ways to develop your character, and all sorts of neat little mechanics and secrets to discover. A steal at the price, and a brilliant little RPG.2 found this helpful
Excuse me Mario, I take it personally that you only mentioned 5 reviews on Steam and completely neglected the AppStore review that I left flippantly some time in the past. Lootbox RPG is for the faint of heart. If you can't take that, this is still the game for you. I loved it on iOS and, when it came to Steam, I bought 5 copies of it, maybe 4, for friends who will never play it because it's such a good game (it actually is). If you've ever played Dink Underwood, this isn't like that, but you might be tempted to think so. Lootbox is simply on another level, once you kill the vampires on this one. Mario, you have more than 10 reviews now, please acknowledge the lack of effort we put in, your game is too good. Truly, though, thank you for continuing to pour love into this awesome dungeon crawler. Because I enjoyed it so much on my phone, I decided to buy it wherever I can. Keep up as much of the great work as you want to. You bring lots of laughs, sarcasm, and joy to us! People, buy and play this, it's worth ever bit of its spot in your library!1 found this helpful
There's some fun to be had, but it suffers from a severe lack of guidance or tutorial. Need an iron ingot? Best go google and hope you find some dev blog that mentioned how. Need a crafting station? Well, it's neither explained what exactly are crafting stations in this game neither how you get them. So I guess I'll have to wait until I stumble across a campfire in the second or third dungeon by accident. All in all, I wouldn't call the experience satisfying, rather frustrating.
I can see myself continuing to play this little addictive RPG for quite some time. It's actually quite difficult. It does have rogue-like meta progression. It's perfect while watching something on the side and it's incredibly cheap for the time you could potentially get out of this. Edit: I am having problems with the mouse highlighting the bottom left icons when clicking to move around the map. Wish there was a way to disable the bottom left icons (the ones to click on for the stairs, resting etc.)
i have played on mobile for a while and can confirm this game is infact satysfying.
Großartiges Spiel!
