What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise this roguelike for its unique twist on the genre, retro aesthetic, and compelling magic item variety that keeps them engaged. The game appeals to those seeking casual, low-stress gameplay that doesn't demand much mental effort, with many returning to it repeatedly over time. Some players have nostalgia for the title as a classic flash game experience, though a few express it as a spiritual successor to other beloved games in the genre.
A fast and addictive roguelite for those of us who aren't hardcore genre fans.
I remember this game from my Flash days. Still remains a gem to this day
Good, but the end game slows WAY down towards the end. I had a save that got to floor 98 from when I was a kid, and replaying it now I remember why I never actually beat it. Progress is so slow at the end.
This game is epic I wish caves were real
A fantastic little RPG roguelite, not the world's greatest replayability, but still able to easily get you a few dozen hours of fun. The core loop allows returning at a comfortable pace to allow steady improvement, or you can blitz and see if you can in a single run. No time pressure of any form, it's quite relaxing yet capable of thrill if you take a chance. Good enough to get me coming back for a run or three every few years despite my 400+ game library. Worth the price, and a no brainer on sale!
I grew up with this game and it continues to be amazing.
