Beautiful, mysterious and underrated gem with an arcade flair. Also, it made me cry a lot but that unfortunately is due to personal circumstances.2 found this helpful
Lost in Harmony, developed by Digixart and published by THQ Nordic, is a rhythm-based action game that seamlessly merges music and storytelling into a deeply emotional experience. Unlike typical rhythm games that focus purely on precision and score, Lost in Harmony uses its gameplay to advance a touching narrative, creating a compelling synergy between player interaction and storytelling. From the very beginning, the game draws players into the dreamlike world of Kaito, a young boy grappling with the loss of his friend Aya, and sets the tone for a journey that is as much about emotional resonance as it is about gameplay mastery. The gameplay is built around a rhythm-driven runner mechanic, where players guide Kaito across various dreamlike landscapes while avoiding obstacles and collecting items in time with the music. This integration of rhythm and story ensures that players are constantly engaged, not…2 found this helpful
An intense, strange experience that is totally a hidden gem if you can get past the insane learning curve, occasionally broken game play and iffy graphics. You have two different methods of play- one involves dodging obstacles as the player runs toward the screen (Kinda like Crash Bandicoot) and the other quickly playing musical notes as they appear on the screen. The musical note part has no learning curve, the game basically throws it all at you immediately and expects you to win. It's very intense because you are constantly switching between dodging obstacles with one hand and then playing the musical notes on the other, occasionally being forced to manage both at the same time. It took me about two hours of building up the muscle memory in my left hand to play the keyboard parts - kinda like learning an instrument. You have to use all four fingers on the left hand to hit the notes and you can't remap the controls which is super annoying. On each stage there are three big orbs and you pretty much need to grab them to ensure you go over 50% completion to beat the stage. 50% completion sounds easy but on hard difficulty a few of the levels are near impossible because if you mak…1 found this helpful
I played this game somewhere around 9 years ago and never made it past (i think) level 5-7, I'm glad I finally got to see the end to the story, they really meant a lot to me back then and still do to this day:)
What the hell is a "Road Movie"?
the mobile version is better.
