100% it. Simple gameplay, simple story. I like it.

It was a good experience, quite short and easy. The only problem I had was that I found a succubus in a room (in the last level) that, after defeated, would start a dialogue that would lock the game (forcing me to restart it) The story is mechanic (it exist to justify the game's existence) but it was nice to see succubus that are evil and the twist (while almost predictable) was nice. I honestly don't know if the story needs more depth when it obviously isn't the main selling point, but personally, I would've love to have more dialogues and moments to spend with Kuro. Just because the game barely needs a story doesn't need you can't flesh it out a bit. As for the gameplay itself, the game is on the easy end, to the point that (until the final bosses) I used all my sparks of will since the start to earn as much money as possible and fast and the items (while nice to use) are easily power crept to the point I only used two, maybe three (ignoring recovering items) for combat since the ones for puzzle where barely used (the upgrade for the sword that allows breaking walls made those items even more useless) and I would've liked that the games used them a bit more. This is a rather well-made platformer/hack-and-slash game. The 2D graphics are a bit on the simple side, using that modern minimalist aesthetic that I am not a big fan of personally, but they're sufficient. The music is often out of place and sounds like it came from a stock library, but it's not terribly distracting and is of decent quality. The sound effects are... well... they vary in quality and appropriateness. Again, not terribly distracting, though I would have done things a bit differently. Where it shines is its gameplay. The controls are tight and responsive and you have quite a few options for how to navigate the world. There are some decent puzzle aspects from time to time, such as doors on timers or falling objects, that you have to figure out. The only real downside I could cite is the fact that the game is ridiculously easy. Of course, a lot of that could come from the fact that it is so mechanically solid. You could take out the norp altogether and it'd still be tons of fun to play just from how well-constructed the game engine is. Definitely worth the price, I'd say, if not moreso.
