Love Love Mystery Club

Alrighty, Love Love Mystery Club is quite a fresh take on the dating FMV genre, especially as an entry with Thai actors and actresses! I enjoyed this game as it introduces a horror theme that can catch you off guard especially if you make wrong choices that can result in a game over. The characters and the story itself was very enjoyable and I didn't mind playing to achieve the good endings for each of the characters. I end up cutting my game time short though because it ended up becoming a hassle trying to get ALL the endings especially with some bugs here and there that prevented certain progressions. But overall the game is a fun experience with lovely ladies for you to fall in love with. But if you want an indepth summary of what I found here you go! Story. You play as our MC, Tuay, who finds himself at the center of supernatural events after joining the occult club. The character had no real aspirations before the club and seems to just want to skate by, but from spending time with his new club friends does Tuay develop into a man that the ladies find themselves liking. This game is unlike anything I've played in the dating sim/FMV genre, the unique blend of occult/ghost story with romance works so well. I found the production and care put into the making of the game was very good. The girls are all lovely and their acting is solid. I do like how unlike most games the girls aren't overly sexualized, which is quite refreshing. Speaking of refreshing the endings are topped off with a music video of one of the girls, that I assume are all sung by the actress. YMMV as some of the songs are really good, that you might want to listen to later, and some that just ok. Main has one of the best MVs, which is fitting since she's an idol. As far as the negatives, this game set points where you can go back to try different choices, but this puts you back further than I'd like. It feels a step down from other games that let you just immediately go back to that choice and retry it. This is such an easy thing to fix for future games, so I hope they get this sorted out.
