About Lumin's Path
Lumin's Path is an atmospheric 3D platformer using light and darkness to impact the world in mysterious ways.
In Lumin's Path you step into the brass shoes of Lumin. You awaken in darkness, not knowing where you are. All you feel is a compulsion to head towards a strange beacon in the distance. You'll have to run, jump, and use your light to change the world.
Nobody knows exactly when darkness took over the world of Lumin's Path centuries ago. They only know of the strange crystals that came to life and covered the surface with a luminescent glow as a result.

"Lumin's Path" is a simple student project, a low poly third person platformer. It's short, the graphics aren't great, and it needs more polish. What do you do in the game? Third person platforming though this short homework assignment. Has anyone considered that it's not necessarily good for gamers if every educational instution in the world dumps their student homework assignments onto Steam? Of course not, why would they consider what's good for gamers? In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Very cute and interesting platforming ideas but unfortunately controls are quite finnicky and graphics, however stilistically nice, are quite unoptimised :(
Before I played Lumin's Path, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Game got that ps1 vibes to it and I understand that it's a student project, but most of the achievements are broken and only 4 of them work. Oh, there are also no collectables on the third level, the counter at the top right doesn't even show. Nice lil time killer.
