About M.O.O.D.S.

When sentient robots get left behind by their creators, they form a civilization and imitate them through artificial emotions. Unable to control these emotions, a civil war breaks out which eventually breaks them up into three different factions. Under the guidance of Enigma, a scientist looking to restore the former peace, players need to infiltrate enemy territory to take out the three factions leaders in one fell swoop.   Face off against 10 unique Bosses, all of which can change their behaviour depending on what you say to them. Confront bosses with different emotions and watch them become sad, angry or happy - all of which drastically changing the flow of battle.
 • The first boss might just try to melt you down if you insult her pride, but may also take it a little easier on you after receiving a compliment
Find out how each boss reacts and use their emotions to your advantage!Strong emotions bring greater rewards! 17  futuristic weapons and over 80 weapon-altering modifications.
 • Extra Bullets: Let your bullets spawn additional small bullets and overwhelm your enemies with a swarm of projectiles.
 • Explosions: Blow up your foes in numerous ways, make your explosions hit twice or turn them into atomic bombs.
 • Conditions: Freeze, burn, corrode and charm enemies, maybe even all at once.
Create a unique build in every mission!
6 Emotion-based classes with 27 game-changing upgrades each
 • Sorrow - Summon your robotic dog to distract enemies. Upgrade it to bite enemies, slow enemy bullets or become a magnet!
 • Love - Shoot a charming Arrow. Enemies will worship you and temporarily fight their own. Upgrade it to deal damage, let enemies suffer conditions or make them hurt themselves!
Each class offers many different approaches!
 • Base Building
Transform a barren junkyard into a functional base of operations.
 • Recruit helpers
Meet friendly robots and invite them to help your cause.
 • Local Co-op Multiplayer
Plug in controllers and enter bullet hell in teams of up to 4 players!
 • No Mission into the 3 factions will be the same
Each region will shuffle up their rooms and enemies with every run. There's always something new to discover!

It a fun game that I can play with friends in Local-Coop. Grab a controller and join in!
's okay.
Really should still be in early access. I encountered multiple bugs including one that softlocked a run (
killing final boss while it was in whirling giant swords mode
) Besides all that roughness it's a simple but fun twinstick shooter roguelite, not a bad game.

Been playing this since beta releases, where it showed promise and I especially enjoyed the idea of the little chat that precede bosses, resulting in variable encounters for each run. After trying the full release for a bit, I'm sorry to find the final result...lacking. Music is nice, the intro cinematic is neat but overall, this game just feels lackluster. Movement still looks glitchy on occasion and everything still feels weirdly slow, particularly projectiles (which look like ugly lumps, a problem which only gets worse the bigger they are). Most (if not all) enemies can be overcome with the age old strategy of running literal circles around them while shooting. Does the game feel like a full relase? No. Is it the worst game ever? No. Is it worth the price? Not really, because there are plenty of other games in this genre with superior gameplay for a similar price tag and are definitely a better use of your money. Even mobile games on average feel better to play than this.

It doesn't feel like upgrades during a run or meta upgrades are adding much, the gameplay is boring and repetitive regardless. The amount of grinding is awful. Hard no.

*Edit* I only played one round, but it seems the issue was fixed *Edit 2* "Spoiler's" sword attack causes the boss to just disappear indefinitely. You have to go to the menu and replay the last level and pray "Spoiler" just doesn't use that move during the long fight. *Edit 3* There was a mini update today and now the game breaking freezing has returned. It also breaks the audio until restarted. I really liked this game, a lot actually. But after a while the game started freezing for minutes at a time, longer than the game actually played. Attempted all the suggested fixes and nothing worked. Next update ill return to see if it is fixed, and will change my review if it does....with a fix this would be an easy recommend.
