Magic defense 2: The Return of the Legend is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from serial copy+paste infringers, Phoenixxx Games. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects from the Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio marketplace, change the name and a few cosmetic details, and try to scam people into paying for someone else's work on Steam. They have run asset flip scams dozens of times, and this is no exception (just look at their other games on Steam). It's nothing but a cash grab. This time they've ripped off a basic template for a 2D retro pixel tower defense game (the same template they ripped off for Magic Defense 1). GameMaker Studio itself is a terrible game construction kit, and this asset flip shows just how bad things can get when templates/tutorials/demos from that construction kit get dumped on Steam as complete games. Magic defense 2: The Return of the Legend is a fantasy tower defense game developed and published by Phoenixxx Games. Built around the timeless concept of protecting a magical fortress from endless enemy assaults, the game delivers a straightforward strategic experience that focuses on planning, resource management, and tactical decision-making. Rather than relying on an elaborate narrative, it places players directly into the role of a defender tasked with stopping waves of creatures determined to seize the world's magical power. The simple premise allows the gameplay to remain the central attraction, making it accessible to both newcomers and longtime tower defense enthusiasts. The game's strongest feature is its commitment to classic tower defense mechanics. Players must carefully position defensive structures, upgrade their magical arsenal, and adapt their strategies to counter increasingly difficult enemy formations. Every battle requires balancing offense and defense, ensuring that resources are spent wisely while maintaining enough firepower to survive later waves. As new threats emerge, players are encouraged to experiment with different defensive setups, creating a satisf…
A Tower Defense Game where you have freely Movable Troops instead of Towers and Cross Level Progress instead of getting New Troops in the Level. The Game itself is pretty simple but good and fun if you are bored. Only worth the Full Price to Support the Dev, wait for Sale otherwise
