About mAIn COMPetition
An old-school point-and-click sci-fi mystery adventure game set in a futuristic building.
Something happened at the Laboratory. The communication has been cut off. No-one leaves the building and all signs of life inside disappeared. You have been sent inside to investigate the situation. Can you *save* the scientists?
This is a short adventure game based on an exploration of a deserted scientific research facility. You try to solve the mystery of vanished scientists, searching the rooms, inspecting found objects and finally making consequential decisions. Nothing really is what it seems to be. Including you…
Featuring the original soundtrack created by Liz Katrin!

I really enjoyed playing this game! Although the gameplay is not very long, it has a unique style (graphics and sound design) and the dark story is really intriguing. I recommend it with all my heart to everyone, especially to all retro and point-and-click game lovers. At the end not only will you find the amazing truth about yourself revealed, but a beautiful surprise awaits you too. In two words: super fun!2 found this helpful
"mAIn COMPetition" is a sci-fi themed 2D retro point and click adventure game featuring heavily pixellated real world imagery. Gameplay consists of clicking around on various parts of the static images presented on screen to change locations or interact with them, and clicking on your inventory. The best part about this game is that it's not an asset/template flip but seems to have been a genuine attempt to make a video game. Unfortunately, the game compares badly against other games, like mobile app Hidden Object games from mobile app devs Artifex Mundi. There's no real excuse for the low quality, low res pixel assets in the game. The game displays in 4:3 aspect ratio only, but it was launched in 2019. Did they develop this using old CRT monitors they found in a dumpster in 1997? Resolution is locked and so are the controls, there's no real tweaks. There's far better free games on Steam, so when a developer publishes something this bad, charges $2 USD for it and dumps it into DailyIndieGame bundles, my only conclusion is that this is some kind of cash grab, and should be avoided.1 found this helpful
You should play this so you can write a guide on how the heck I'm supposed to solve this game. I'm stuck, and I don't know what to do.
