You know when a certain philosophical question falls flat due to lack of immersion? This might be my main issue with this game. It centers around a slingshot mechanic where you walk in a closed environment putting chalices on fire with progressively more range. The thing is that this mechanic is more of an excuse to delve into certain topics regarding wishes, desires, life and morality. In fact, every night you have to deal with these and make a decision, all to culminate in a single shot at the end that decides everyone’s fate. The problem is that to the player the game doesn’t do enough to integrate the gameplay into these matters. Plus, it doesn’t center its discussion on something specific so it goes around here and there and you barely have time to process anything. That lack of focus is what in the end made me care more about the chalices being lit and the little gameplay there is rather than the narrative. And it doesn’t help that it’s pretty stiff and slow, so I didn’t enjoy it that much. It’s a bit of a shame since I had certain expectations coming into this from the developers previous work. Maybe you’ll appreciate it more than I did.1 found this helpful

I fkn missed.
very short experience (I got all achievements in an hour) but I still highly recommend it. It's very effective at what it wants to do and it super cheap. Don't let yourself get spoiled looking at reviews just play it. 9/10
It's an interesting game, does what it seeks out to do quite well.
A beautiful little game about expectation, anxiety and letting go. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a game a finish in one sitting, my only complaint is that I wish it was more difficult to make the final shot. It only took me a couple minutes to figure out how to consistently make it and I would have liked to feel a bit more nervous about it in the end. 8/10
