McDROID is an eccentric mixture of tower defense, third-person shooting, farming, base construction, and real-time strategy that manages to establish an identity quite different from conventional games in any of those genres. Developed and published by Elefantopia, it places players in control of a small robotic hero attempting to restore and defend a damaged planet. Instead of watching battles from above and simply placing towers along predetermined routes, you physically move around the battlefield, participate in combat, gather resources, construct defenses, and respond directly whenever your carefully planned defenses begin falling apart. The basic gameplay revolves around farming, building, and defending. Resources generated through agriculture provide the means to expand your defenses, while hostile creatures continuously threaten the territory you are trying to restore. The farming element fits surprisingly well into the tower-defense structure because productive areas become valuable assets that must also be protected. Enemies can corrupt the environment and interfere with your resources, forcing you to think about more than simply stopping monsters from reaching a single …

I simply cannot explain how bugged and strange this game is in multiplayer. Host didnt have sound, didnt see cutscences, and we brutally failed the first level because the cannons are uberly strange too.

Very charming game. Buggy and strange, but still very fun. Would definitely recommend it,

Great game for what it set out to be. I don't even generally like tower defense games but I really like this one.
