I really wanted to like this but there's just too many problems with the English conversion. 1. They really need a native English speaker to proofread the translations. It's the equivalent of me trying to translate an English language game into French, but I only took two years of it in high school and never had a native speaker to practice with. 2. The control scheme is bizarre in the extreme. the only controls that map well are the arrow keys for movement. The mouse can only be used for hiding and showing the chat window. A controller works for moving around and one of the buttons works to interact with things, but then you have switch to the keyboard for the music mini-game. 3. The music mini-game tries to give you a tutorial but totally fails to tell you that you need input 4 numbers and that the number they add up to is what matches the music point list.d 5. If you really want to see this game, try and find an uncensored playuthrough website and just watch it.3 found this helpful

It's been a while since I played this game. But it was fun - interesting characters, game mechanics, H-scenes. Highly recommended.

Set in the year 5029 AD in the city of "Guillotine" on Mercury, the game immerses players in a neon-lit, dystopian world where the sun is obscured by a "sky cover," casting the city in perpetual darkness. The narrative centers around a mechanical rabbit-eared maid and her human companion as they navigate a world doomed to destruction every three days, striving to uncover the truth behind the impending catastrophe. One of the game's standout features is its innovative approach to gameplay. Eschewing traditional combat mechanics, MECHANICA focuses on exploration and interaction with the city's diverse inhabitants. Players engage with characters by playing music, a mechanic that serves as both a narrative device and a means to gather crucial information. This music-based system adds a layer of depth to the storytelling, allowing players to unlock new plot developments and secrets by resonating with the emotions and memories of the city's residents.
