About Memory

Memory is a strange and interesting thing. It is never complete, and often deviates from the truth. A memory can shift, change, grow and contract, all while being filtered by the mind’s perspective of reality.

When you are sent to live with your grandmother for the summer, you could never imagine the mysteries awaiting you in the sleepy country town of Woodland Park.

Explore your surroundings, retrieve memories, collect radio transmissions, solve puzzles and piece together stories from different people. One clue will lead to the next and answers to riddles will help you on your quest. A beautiful girl named Alicia captures your heart and will lead you deeper into the town’s dark past. If you pay attention and collect the right clues, you can solve the mystery of what happened so long ago. Search for the memories the people of Woodland Park have tried so hard to forget.

I really enjoyed this game! I am into solving crimes and story-driven games, and Memory delivers on both sides! Memory is a game developed by a small company, so I didn’t expect a AAA game but was still pleasantly surprised by a few things: - I especially like the fact that the author gave each character their own personality, only by using texts - pretty cool! - This game is loooong (that’s a very good thing in my book, pun intended) and be aware that the story takes some time before really taking off; like with any good crime story, the story seems at first to go into one way before completely changing direction. - I enjoyed that the search for clues is interspersed with short puzzles; also that a whole set of these puzzles are chapter titles! I love this kind of nerdy attention to details, ha ha - The phone booth to “jump” from one area/building to an other is a nice idea, but be still ready to do a lot of back-tracking (think Resident Evil without actions and zombies ;) ) - It was challenging to get the “right” ending but ultimately very rewarding! Overall, I strongly recommend this game for whoever love a good crime story and enjoy looking for clues everywhere.
