I wish there was a "Meh" option for my review but there isn't, so....The game is cheerful, colorful, bright and delivers on its premise of 2 games in one. But it isn't a Match 3 per se; it's a drag 3 or more (to remove) which is okay except you can't use strategy to remove pieces because pieces don't "drop"..the rows will slide randomly so you just have to persevere until everything is cleared. The HO scenes are actually harder than they look so I wish there were more of these than the Matching scenes. You are penalized for playing in Untimed mode because you can't attain more than "Bronze" at any level. But the game is okay for passing the time and I will keep it in my library. Meh.

Can't play till to end, can't open the chest with crap in lvl 56 or 58 and got key before whatever i try it don't work. I "walked" with the crab around the full chest, it didn't open. This stupid octupus stole the pearl, why the hell poseidon don't help, it could be just so easy... The game is not complete typical match 3 game. Sometimes you need to lead the crab to the cheat to open it. The game has strategic aspects which makes the game interesting. No grafic resolution options and it's good. love the graphics and really addictive

ITs a shame I can't recommend this game because it has so much going for it. So nice that it isn't your typical match game. The sliding pieces makes for great strategic play BUT there isn't enough time for that! even on the lowest levels and there is NO WAY to shut off the timer for casual play. The graphics are beautiful, it's cute, fun, but impossible to relax and enjoy. Constantly frantically rushing to beat the timer then constantly failing levels over and over is a big fail for the game. Too bad , the game has such potential.

Mermaid Adventures: The Magic Pearl is an older match-3/Candy Crush ripoff with an undersea theme. There's no proper widescreen support, as you can see from the screenshots it's pillarboxed. There's also a rather ambitious $6 USD price tag. Considering you can play match-3 games free on mobile or in web browsers, it's impossible to recommend PC gamers should pay to play one on Steam.
