Metal Mutation

Metal Mutation is a top down arcade brawler with progression elements from the Chinese developer, T0. While it looks promising it's ultimately disappointing due to some technical defects and some very poor design decisions, and this is reflected in a very lacklustre public reception, with very few gamers on Steam bothering to play this. This game has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at around 1440p, there's no support for the state-of-the-art 4K or higher resolutions. This is one of the worst action roguelikes I've ever played. It's so mindless and feels like it is what an AI would assume is an action roguelike. The difficulty is basically non-existent. I only finally died when I got so bored that I stopped caring about dodging or blocking because I just wanted it to end. I thought I was missing something, but I beat three bosses without so much as a thought about it. Either the devs are the worst players of all time, or they didn't playtest this to see if there was any fun to be had. I don't usually like to write reviews with so little playtime, but I literally cannot will myself to play this further. The sooner I uninstall this the better.

Game is challenging and fun to play. Story is not captivating. Tip: 2nd weapon is the best when used with ice as weapon skill and Fire for Valkyrie ..

I had tried to find alternative game for Hades for a long when I had been waiting for Hades 2 to be completed edition. Finally, I found this game. It's hack and slash, isometric perspective, has alternative weapon, can modify your weapon heavily, each run makes you more powerful. Everything is checked! The fighting system is quite similar to Hades, but you cannot dash multiple times, so you cannot use it as the safe tactic. This game has parry system instead which is more difficult than it look because the timing is really strict (or I am bad) and each enemies, even have some post before attacking, they have significant different delay before their attack come out which are really quick for reflecting. The projectile types are more easier to parry than melee for this reason. The parry has long delay, so you will be surely be hit hardly if miss. But if the parry is successful, you can hit a attack button, and you will do parry move which is quite strong, and you will be invisible while using that attack, so it is risky but rewarding. fun game can get a bit repetitive but overall the game is fun and enjoyable for a few hours probably really good with co-op
