METAL SLUG XX was originally released on PlayStation®Portable in 2009 and PlayStation®4 in 2018 as part of the classic 2D run-and-gun action shooting game series from SNK, and now returns to service on Steam with graphics upscaled to 1080p and 4k screen resolution support! Moreover, Leona Heidern, who was a paid DLC character in the original PSP® game, is now playable for free and from the get-go!

Also from the Ikari Team, Leona Heidern, who was a paid DLC character in the original PSP® version of METAL SLUG XX, will also now be playable from the start. I liked it, like almost all games, it's that simple. Although I was surprised they added 7 missions, but oh well, I haven't tried the other games that aren't on Steam, but overall I loved the series, I love it, and I will continue to love it.1 found this helpful
Most janky feeling in the franchise so far, partly being a very clear console port. Which is disappointing, as if it felt less janky, it would probably be one of my preferred games in the franchise so far. Rating: 14/411 found this helpful
Crashes before the main menu every single time. Unplayable broken garbage.
Really fun old classic.
Seems like a lot of achievements are glitched and wont pop. No saving mid campaign whatsoever unlike all previous titles. Otherwise a good game with special abilities and a second weapon slot. So I don't recommend for achievement hunters but otherwise alright game. Only mission select in single player and not coop is so annoying. Popped one of the glitched achievements in single player so it seems like coop is the problem. This game is so bad for coop.
