This is a pretty solid Metal Slug experience. Slight mmo approach. Fun events. A lot of different game modes along with a Metal Slug campaign. PvP has been a lot of fun for me. I only stopped playing because it started to crash a lot after a recent update. Seems like a new update solved nothing. But, thats not why its a thumbs down for me. Its thumbs down because its Tencent and with that comes a crazy gacha system that would drain Bill Gates. I got lucky with some pulls and getting high up in an event. But, if you want to keep up, its just that. Luck or unlimited funds for pulls. How they managed to turn Metal Slug into this is wild. They buy out or rights to IPs to milk it in anyway. This one by milking the nostalgia of Slug. And, if they can't buy, they will try to just straight copy an IP and act delusional when accused lol (Zero Dawn). Screw you Pony Ma. Pros: -Free to play -Nostalgic characters -Pretty well done 3D effects -Good mechanics and movement without input lag -Fairly interesting and long single player storyline Cons: -Modern "pay to win" scheme -Forced daily events and events and tasks in general -Menu too crowded with dynamic buttons and unnecessary things -At times feels "retro" but most of the times feels like they've done too much 3/5
