good turn based strategy game with gears universe skin on top of it. story is okay, but i mean its not like its a front line gears game anyway. scratches a little bit of tht gears itch, but in a fun unique way of its own
buggy, repetitive, frustrating, unbalanced
Is this a decent game yes. But the enviorments are largely the same, Your stuck with 4 member squads when you have a roster of like 16. You can get equipment upgrades but you don't get any real improvements you can work towards and the big bad is on screen for maybe 10 minutes in total and they never really elbaorate on him. This game could be a great game, gears skinned xcom if they had more content, more flexibility in your units deployed, convoy upgrades but it doesn't do any of that and you can't even grind to better prepare fo the final battle. It's a decent game, it is not a good game
A great take on the Gears franchise doubled by a solid and modern tactical. Combat feels satisfying, there are cool features and systems to explore and the story is quite efficient. It gets a tad repetitive though! But if you're a fan of Gears and/or of the genre, you should play this game, for sure!
The only thing dumber than forcing people who bought your game to use your crappy launcher is when your stupid launcher makes the game crash and makes it impossible to progress from the title screen. I google it and tried every single fix that would supposedly make the game work and nothing worked. If you want to play this on Steam Deck don't bother.
