About Midjungard
Set in an ancient Tolkien-inspired Norse world, Midjundgard faces players off in intense 3v3 hack n’ slash matches. Here is our Discord server for finding Midjungard players : https://discord.gg/gXRYd9FP3N
Midjungard Multiplayer PvP is set in an almost prehistoric misty world, where strange creatures roam this fabled earth which later becomes the Midgard of Viking mythology. This Midjungard by the way, is carried through in the legendarium of JRR Tolkien's cosmology too.
6 players, formed into 2 teams, are dropped into this ancient land of myth and magic. The teams fight in a PvP mode and acquire points for each enemy kill. Respawning is allowed. When the game timer expires, usually around 15 minutes, the team with the highest points is the winner.
The focal point of the game is the central Altari, a pedestal that holds the ultimate weapon UrHamar.

Midjungard features three playable classes for the players to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Sverdur the Paladin is clad in sturdy plate and armed with a sword and shield making him exceptional at defence. Armed with a bow, and deadly accurate in ranged combat is Jaegra the Huntress. Lastly, Smidur the man-beast capable of delivering a fatal blow with his long axe in one swipe.
Once inside the game they can morph into the frighteningly powerful Berserker avatar by two ways:
-By looting in the level for the elusive magical potion GladursBrugga.
-By capturing the UrHamar mounted on a central pedestal on the Altari.

The level map is vast and varied. The Altari will spawn at different locations for each game. A ring of fire, called as Myrcki, will also be spawned around the Altari. Myrcki are fiery, flesh-eating insects and will start shrinking as soon as the game starts. One cannot step out of this Myrcki circle without being eaten alive.
A player will respawn after death but will do so at the periphery. He/she will need to run towards the action after the respawn but will keep all loot that was collected so far in the game.
Soon as the game starts, look for the sky-high beacon in the map that indicates the location of the central Altari. This is where the final battle will probably occur. Another valid approach is to play tactically by first looting for potions, additional weapons and additional powerups. This will you them better prepared for the final battle.
Engage your enemies from afar using missile weapons. Use melee weapons at close range to finish the fight.
If you have enough Brugga, a magical potion, you can enable special attacks and set your enemy aflame. Other potions to loot for are Helsa to heal damage and of course Galdursbrugga to morph into a Berserker. The Berserker's special ability is to throw Spheres of Entrapment to stun you. He can also, with enough Brugga, completely become invisible for a few seconds just to sneak up behind you with his terrible war hammer at the ready.

Players can also loot for power-ups hidden in the caches. These give you level-ups for strength, attack, dexterity and speed.

Winning in Midjungard requires good movement and skillful weapons usage with a judicious mix of magic and special abilities. Above all a group that fights as a team wins as a team.

What Steam players say

Anyone can go to the Unreal Asset Marketplace and download a bunch of the free assets that Epic has given away for free in years past and then add a few special effect glow assets to make effects on the weapons and hit export. This game is nothing but assembed Unreal marketplace assets into a horrifying mess. The main menu barely functions. There is nobody playing. Making a lobby and hitting START took over ten tries to actually start loading the game. ..It's just a total mess. Once in the world assembled of assets, if you know anything about the Unreal engine default character, you'll see that many of those animations are just basic, default animations. The developer or developers grabbed some texture assets for the three offered classes, they hit export even though their game was a pile of steaming poo-poo and uploaded this pile of poo for you! Truly "amazing" as so many of the 1 review, no profile Steam users say! ..Truly amazing they say! Imagine using BS accounts (fake alts, friends alts, paid reviews, whatever) to bypass the Steam review system to fraudulently glorify your POS asset cobbled together trash game as "Amazing" and "epic"... *deeper sigh* https://www…3 found this helpful
Great game so far and it can only get better. This early access game has been amazing to play and I've love every minute of playing it. The classes are fun to play around with and see which one suits you. The devs and everyone I've played with have been very kind and helpful. The game design is unique and refreshing. I would and have recommend to anybody who enjoys medieval sword and shield combat games.1 found this helpful
First and foremost, please understand this game is still EARLY ACCESS and in the works. That being said, I've never met a development team more driven than I have in this one. Every single day they are working on this game and it's progress has been nothing short of amazing. This hack-and-slash PVP game find its' roots in Norse lore mixing in a bit of Europen medieval elements. High octane combat makes this game hectic in the best of ways and combat is never lack luster. With RPG elements the player is able to take their time preparing for combat by ransacking the local homes for equipment and stat boosts. Or, you can take the initiative, and make for the Altairi to claim the Ur-hammer, becoming the Berserker. This 3v3 fighting game is constantly improving and the development team takes criticism very seriously, always looking to improve the quality of the game with player enjoyment foremost in their minds. If this game isn't everything you expected at first, I highly encourage you to reach out and talk with the developers. Again, this game is still in development, and regardless of this, the game is still a wonderful play and I can't wait to see the player base flourish! This game…1 found this helpful
Definitely a future good game at the progress at it goes. Melee system/movement a bit buggy at times and seems clunky but each test seems to improve it more and more. You may have crashes here and there or lag parts but its worth it when you can actually play. May not be active unless you either have people to play with OR take part in the stress tests but its worth giving it a play through and helping out the Devs. Starting from a small company, the developers put their time to listen to the community and try to make the game more playable each week. Worth getting and helping out to make it better then ever.
A little preface: The genre is 3V3 teamplayer deathmatch hack n' slash with some Battle Royale like elements. I have tried out the game so far and it is put together really well. the character models are smooth, the animations for the different attacks are nice. movement is solid right now and it is easy to move around the map. or what has already been put into the game, i give it a solid 8/10.
Midjungard is an action game where you fight team vs team in a fantasy setting. So far, this seems like a solid game. The maps are very well-made and allow for a lot of diversity in battle as there are many places to hide and attack other players from. I also like how the games are quick, never feeling like they're dragging out too long. The multitude of classes are also nice and they add replayability value. However, there are a few issues I've come across playing this game. I couldn't come up for air easily while I was swimming and had to swim to a very specific part of the water to escape. The health and mana potions recover a very negligable amount of their respective stats; it would be nice if they could heal a bit more. It's also at its funnest when it's 3v3, any fewer and it's unbalanced, needless to say. This game lacks a server lobby, so unless you know five other people, you won't get the most out of this game. Overall, I would recommend this game. It can be really fun to play with your friends.
