About Miner Wars 2081
Pilot an advanced mining ship through a fully destructible solar system in this 6DOF space-shooter where you'll mine asteroids, complete missions across warring factions, and battle for survival in a persistent open world. Choose your playstyle between an epic 31-mission campaign, cooperative mining expeditions with up to 16 players, or intense deathmatches, with realism-focused survival mechanics making every resource—fuel, ammo, and oxygen—count.
You operate an advanced mining ship in a fully destructible and open-world environment, which remains persistent as you complete missions or play online with others. Realism and survival are key aspects of gameplay. Inventory and the way you use resources such as fuel, ammunition, oxygen, ore, and weapons are important when surrounded by dozens of warring factions.
The gameplay is driven by an epic story and offers a choice of single player, co-op, and death-match multi-player.
The story will introduce you to many types of missions: rescue, exploration, revenge, base defense, theft, transportation, stealth, search and destroy, pure harvesting, racing, or just flying around and destroying everything you see.

Its funny this turd is the same Dev's as Space Engineers.2 found this helpful
I only finished 1 story mission (escaping from inside asteroid until traveling to another area with a spaceship), but my experience so far feels like playing an early access game that has rough game balance and design, with bland story. And it's probably Linux only issue, but sometimes I can't continue the game (from main menu) with message "Load templates error!".1 found this helpful

Its really not a bad game, its actually a decent time especially for the price tag its being offered for these days. Look I was also one of the original followers of the game, its a shame this never quite saw its full potential, let alone the MMO they had planned. But for like what $5, this is a not half bad descent-like with some interesting ideas. Honestly worth it if you like the 6dof sub genre for space sims. Good: -The mining is a by product of its time (minecraft, terreria) but it adds an interesting element to the traditional 6DOF game -I think the survival mechanics are neat, just christ turn off the audio warning in the menu that constantly blares whenever your low on something -Voxel asteroids are a cool idea -Gunplay/combat is solid, theres a real weight and nice amount of customization, something you dont see in most games like this -The missions are honestly fun, dont get me wrong theyre kinda jank but I would be lying if I said I had a bad time with them -Some of the enviroments are quite cool to look at, and the premise of a multi national space society post apocalypse is a fun idea. Also this is probably the only 6DOF game where the levels honestly FEEL like bein…
i like it tbh its not that bad
