About Mole a Hole
Let's Mole a Hole!
Dig straight into trouble as a determined mole with two turbo digging paws and a backyard that definitely isn't ready for what's coming.Tunnel downward, collect shiny (and occasionally suspicious) treasures, sell your findings, and upgrade your gear in your trusty backyard-workshop.Collect surprising treasures
Build out your figurine collection - completely useless, entirely cosmetic, and obviously the most important part of the game. The deeper you go, the stranger things become. Pipes, rocks, odd artifacts... and rumors of something valuable hidden far below. Is the treasure real? Is it worth it? Hard to say. But you're a mole - and digging is kind of your whole thing.Features:
- 🕳️ Satisfying digging gameplay - carve your way through layers of dirt using your trusty mole paws
- 💎 Find shiny stuff - minerals, odd objects, and underground surprises
- 🚐 Upgrade your gear in your mobile van-shop
- 🏆 Collect figurines - completely useless, but extremely adorable
- ⚡ Manage your energy and plan your trips back to the surface
- 🧱 Avoid obstacles like rocks and pipes that definitely shouldn't be there
- ❓ Uncover a mystery waiting deep below your garden
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & impressions here: https://youtu.be/9L9Vcn_Tp3A Mole a Hole is a game about digging a hole with a mole for VR. It's an alright re-interpretation for VR. However, it's not quite as engaging as it's missing some of the discovery & upgrades the other games of this ilk usually have. It's a simplified, cozier version, which can be good or bad depending on your expectations. I do find it a tier below Only DWARVES DIG Proper HOLES. However, the digging here is much easier since you're using your hand claws to dig, which is more intuitive in VR than a shovel. Still, it seems to be missing a motivation to continue digging. I expected underground ruins or some giant discovery when digging, instead I found just more digging below with upgraded claws. That's fine if you're okay with that type of gameplay loop. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 5090, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs (however, I ran into small bugs like trouble opening chest with hammer or not being able to pick up some objects stuck to underground pipes). You do have full locomotion, along with smoo…4 found this helpful
i can say with 100% certainty that this is a simple yet charming little vr game that is fairly priced and enjoyable. digging around as a little mole is quite fun and i think this game is on to something. that being said i think it feels very lonely digging all alone and coming back to an empty back yard. some kind of npc to talk to would be nice. also some overall goal for my little guy would also be pretty cool. honestly for the price of a fast food meal i think you will get your moneys worth p.s. i ready there were some bugs at launch but i have no such issues anymore. i am playing on linux with proton1 found this helpful
Mole A Hole is a lovely and pretty peaceful, family friendly, digging game. Dig around using VR motion controls to tunnel through the backyard, searching for all kinds of items, some can be worth quite a bit of money too. Once you fill your back pack, sell the items and purchase upgrades, so you can carry more items and dig to deeper depths. I personally love this game, I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and searching for items. It is accessible to play as I'm a disabled wheelchair user, and I had no issues playing from a seated position. Activity level I'd say is medium as you do need to move your arms a lot for digging, climbing and collecting items, but you can use thumb stick movement to walk and run in most areas. It took me around 3 hours to fully upgrade everything and complete the game. But it has one of those addictive qualities that make you want to come back to do it all over again. Check out my video if you would like to see some gameplay from my first time playing: https://youtu.be/xNyuNenuM9M1 found this helpful
Average digging game but in vr.. also didn't close until i forced it to through steam. and now i can't refund :)
very fun and cool game that just makes sense your a mole digging a hole.
It's basically A Game About Digging a Hole but in VR. Overall pretty fun if you like games about the get treasure, use treasure to upgrade so you can get more treasure loop. There are a few minor bugs with hands disappearing around the computers used to buy upgrades especially when menuing but otherwise runs pretty well.
