About Only DWARVES DIG Proper HOLES
Dig Deep. Drink Beer. Unearth Dwarven Secrets.
You’re a dwarf. You dig holes. That’s your job.
In Only DWARVES DIG Proper HOLES, hold onto your beard and grab your shovel—there’s endless ground beneath your feet and no good reason to stop digging.
What's down there? Maybe treasure. Maybe doom. Probably both. Legend speaks of a mighty dwarf buried deep underground with his legendary pickaxe. Your companions found the tomb's location, but getting there is your task. You've got a shovel, climbing skills, a trusty grappling hook, and the occasional terrifying drop if you accidentally dig the cave ceiling. You can buy lights at the store, and you do have help—but only when it comes to drinking beer. No plan though. So, what are you waiting for?
Forget the usual heroic quests. There's no world-saving, no epic battles—just you, the earth, and the creeping suspicion that things are getting... weird.

Hella fun! 3.7 hours to get to the end game, which is far more than just a hole in the ground. Great progression! Looks and works great on a vive pro 2 with wand controllers. I played it nothing like a "clicker," I'm not sure it should have that tag.2 found this helpful

⭐ Review: Only Dwarves Dig Proper Holes Rating: 4/5 – A charming, satisfying dig‑’em‑up with room to grow Only Dwarves Dig Proper Holes is one of those games that knows exactly what it wants to be—and absolutely nails it. The digging mechanics are the standout feature: responsive, weighty, and surprisingly addictive. Every swing feels like it matters, and the terrain reacts in a way that makes tunneling downward genuinely satisfying. The graphics are another pleasant surprise. There’s a warm, earthy charm to the art style that fits the dwarven theme perfectly. Environments are clean, readable, and full of personality without ever becoming visually cluttered. Progression is where the game really shines. Loot feel's rewarding, upgrades come at a steady pace, and there’s a clear sense of becoming a more capable miner as you go. It hits that cozy loop of “just one more dig” extremely well. If there’s one area where the game could dig a little deeper, it’s late‑game content. By the end, I found myself sitting on a mountain of spare gold with not much left to spend it on. A few more upgrades, cosmetic unlocks, or high‑tier challenges would go a long way toward extending the experience. S…
Just finished the game. It took me about 10h. Haven’t found the last role. Much more fun to dig, when you have all the upgrades. Digging goes so fast then.
