Cave Digger, developed and published by VRKiwi, is a first-person mining adventure that blends resource gathering, exploration, and light narrative mystery within a stylized Wild West-inspired setting. Originally conceived as a virtual reality experience, the PC version adapts its mechanics for traditional controls while retaining the core loop that defines the game: descend into the depths of a mysterious mountain, mine valuable materials, upgrade your equipment, and gradually uncover secrets hidden far beneath the surface. What begins as a straightforward prospecting simulator slowly reveals layers of intrigue and progression that give it more substance than its simple premise suggests. At the heart of Cave Digger is a satisfying mining loop. Players begin with basic tools and limited access to underground areas. Armed with a pickaxe and a modest elevator system, you descend into cavernous zones filled with ores, gemstones, fossils, and other sellable materials.
