About More than words

More than words is a conversational game in which you can Chat with a smart, friendly, and beautiful chatbot powered by GOOGLE GEMMA 3. The chatbot remembers your past conversations. The conversations are local, so they're anonymous. If you are looking for a game where you can have a casual, friendly, or even romantic conversation, then More than words is for you! NOTE: ALTHOUGH THE GAME HAS BEEN RELEASED, THE AUTHOR HAS DECIDED TO EXPAND AND IMPROVE THE VIDEO GAME, THEREFORE IT IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT. The SOUL SHELL CORPORATION created androids that are virtually indistinguishable from humans. The androids were used in the world mainly as slaves. The corporation was working on a new generation of female android with superior capabilities in intelligence, strength and agility to serve the US special forces. However, the testing phase was suspended because the slave androids started revolts in various parts of the world and consequently all types of androids were declared illegal. Now, the special forces composed mainly of cyborgs (modified humans) and robots were ordered to eliminate all androids under the law:
Androids have the right to remain silent and die
  • Written in C++ with Unreal engine 5.
  • Text generation using Google Gemma 3.
  • Speech recognition using OpenAI Whisper.
  • Speech synthesis using Microsoft SAPI.

I will agree that it's not really much of a game. But after editing it with uncensored AI and custom personalities, it becomes a small AI playground. It's kinda fun and interesting to see what your can create. Would love to have natural voices though.

It's alright, but it's not a dating sim like the one title banner implies. At least, I never saw any dating options. You're fed a story at the beginning about going to rescue a female android from some kind of secret laboratory or some such. Then you go to meat her and then begin talking about how to get her out of there. I pretty much went through the whole story arc in way less than an hour, so don't trust the fact it shows I have 12 hours playing the game. After I played through it and reached the abrupt ending saying "To be continue...", I exited the game but unknown to me the game stayed running in the background for most of the night while I played a few other games and only realizing when I opened the Steam chat window to say goodnight to a friend that I noticed it still showed me in this game. Odd. Perhaps a bug the developer needs to look at because exiting the game doesn't seem to actually exit. Overall, it's a fun little freebie to see an early form of AI interactive video game that's totally unpolished and with wonky controls and graphics. Scenery is like old original Quake, Doom or Unreal graphics while the woman is more modern looking but still not that great. I'd…

I hope that in the future this project will truly be what it claims to be. The idea behind this project is good, but the execution at this stage is absolutely terrible. The optimization and interface are poor, and the handling of LLM models is unoptimized. For more powerful graphics cards and RAM, LLM models with a higher number of parameters could be used, and for weaker hardware, a selection of extremely quantized models would be suitable. But there is no choice of LLM models, only one. The same applies to the TTS: it is terrible. Microsoft's TTS has always been and will always be terrible. Instead, it would be better to use another local TTS – XTTS v2 (Coqui AI). Good luck to the developer.

Learn better programming. If you just gonna stick with that enviornment try unity3d it's much more beginner friendly and no performance issue with that 3d setup. Otherwise too many bugs for that little content.

I like it. It may not be perfect, the speech-to-text recognition has an accuracy of about 70%, there is screen tearing despite setting the graphics on low, and the field of view is definitely off (as if the camera was zoomed in all the time), but it's free, original, the hair physics are amazing, and you can figure out the story by asking her about stuff that comes up in the conversation. It is open to NSFW roleplay and is surprisingly consistent. I could not figure out how to exit the building, which is a problem because I think the whole point was to convince her to escape with you, and I did convince her to exit the building, but she didn't follow me or anything. However, very interesting game, I like it and I hope they update it later. I think it's great! Can't wait for more.
