GAMEPLAY MECHANICS
In "Morgenstern," you dive into a procedurally generated world to defeat hordes of dangerous enemies and find valuable treasures. Once you successfully conquer the final dungeon of a biome, new, even more challenging adventures await. Destroying objects in the environment allows you to gather resources, replenish Health, Mana, and Armor, and find new weapons.PROGRESSION AND IMPROVEMENT
Level up during combat by killing enemies and gaining reputation. Acquire new weapons, spells, and abilities to gain even more combat power. Permanently improve all characters by collecting valuable crystals used to upgrade the Morgenstern and, in turn, enhance your characters' abilities.TOGETHER OR AGAINST EACH OTHER
Team up with friends in co-op mode or test your skills against other players in intense PvP battles. My friends and I played for like 20 minutes laughing at how bad it is. It's just one of those asset flip/AI slop thing, the type of game Wicked Wiz review on his Youtube basically2 found this helpful
This game has fun, quick melee and magic combat against hordes of enemies. You can block, dodge, charge a heavy attack, swing normal attacks, sprint, and cast magic attack spells. Survival depends on preserving health and armor. Armor is basically a second health bar on top of your normal health bar, and it's pretty easy to repair. Health is harder to restore, so it matters more when your armor is gone and you take damage to your health. You find and equip magic spells just like weapons. Spells are attacks that you can spam for a burst of damage or use strategically to disrupt enemies while you attack. You choose between long-range spells to snipe ranged attacks behind the horde or medium-range spells that knock multiple enemies back. You collect experience as you kill things, you use that to get temporary level ups during that run (pick one of three random upgrades options--you'll be familiar with this system). You also find soul gems (or something) you spend on permanent upgrades that last between runs. Over time, you unlock more weapons you can craft, so you have your favorite weapon to start with in case you die, as well as passive and spells you can craft. Ever…
Very cool mix of Chivalry/Mordhau with Roguelike gameplay and an awsome soundtrack. Currently its still very early in its development but a great foundation is already in place. Looking forward for more content and future updates!
Very early access. But very promising. I enjoyed it. Literally only leaving a review to try to help it gain traction so the devs can get some income and can afford to put more money in development.
