An indie adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness where you will assume the role of geologist William Dyer, leader of the Miskatonic University Expedition to the antarctic continent. Experience rising tension when all contact is lost with the advanced camp following new discoveries that will change every notion of the biological sciences.

Follow the tunnels using equipment left behind by the advanced exploration team while you search for the missing members of the expedition.

It was interesting at first, but it quickly became boring as hell as I had to walk around trying to figure out what am I supposed to do here and there. Finally, after the [spoiler] Shoggoth encounter (the one were you see his shadow and then drop down)[/spoiler], I got so bored walking around this maze that looks the same every time you go around the corner that I decided to alt+f4 out of the game. It's really a shame that one of the best H.P. Lovecraft's works is also one of the hardest to translate to a game properly. Sorry, devs, I know you worked hard on this one and did your best, but it is what it is.2 found this helpful

There's a walking simulator and then there's this. You walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk... It's very similar to the first Amnesia game.
a game with proper Lovecraftian atmosphere
Pretty good game, quite short but paced appropriately, except for the last sequence which felt a little too short and sudden.
Based on of Lovecrafts most famous stories, Mountains Of Madness has proven, time and time again, that certain mediums cannot be translated correctly to different forms. A direct adaption of one of Lovecrafts stories has been has unreachable as the mountains described here...but one can try and Deep Dive does the best he can with what he can. Any shortcomings can only be attributed to the fact that cosmic horror relies mostly on a deeper level of fear; the fear of what you cannot see or comprehend. A fear that will render all logic and sanity useless... A recommendation because, as I said, D.D.P. did the best he could with a story that wasn't meant to be seen, but felt.
