About Conarium
Explore an abandoned Antarctic base as an amnesiac scientist, uncovering the horrifying truth behind a forbidden expedition that left you dead yet mysteriously alive in this Lovecraftian tale of cosmic horror. Navigate between nightmarish visions and reality while evading eldritch horrors, with multiple endings and atmospheric puzzle-solving that rewards those brave enough to uncover every dark secret.
Conarium is a chilling Lovecraftian game, which follows a gripping story involving four scientists and their endeavor to challenge what we normally consider to be the ‘absolute’ limits of nature. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s novella "At the Mountains of Madness", but largely set after the original story.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Conarium is an eldritch walking simulator that offers an intriguing story rooted in cosmic horror lore, with atmospheric sound design and environmental puzzles that reward careful exploration. Players appreciate the creative narrative and multiple endings, though many find the story confusing and note that the game delivers atmosphere rather than genuine scares. The leisurely pace and puzzle-focused gameplay appeal to fans of contemplative horror experiences, though some feel the experience is more narrative-driven than mechanically engaging.
An eldritch horror game without Cthulhu all over the place?! Conarium is an eldritch walking simulator game with some puzzles. There are some nice secrets to find and puzzles to solve if you keep an eye on your surroundings and read the notes. The story delves into the space beyond the void. Its a good story through it does leave you with some questions, as the genre oftens does. The game resolves around the Conarium Device. An ancient devies we do not understand but start toying with anyway. Surely that will go just fine. Gameplay is mostly walking. There are puzzles around but dont expect big chases or a chance to fight back. It a fun game that keeps you entertained for some hours. If you like the Cthulhu games you might enjoy this other aspect of the Mythos.3 found this helpful
