Dyer Expedition

The style and puzzles were nice. It's not a long game but it is about the right length for what it is. I would rate it highly for a game that adapts H.P. Lovecraft's "Mountains of Madness"

Love that you have to figure out how to solve the puzzles by yourself, some quite tricky, but original. Foreboding atmosphere with liminal, alien spaces, great ambiance and sound. You don't need to slap the word Necronomicon in there to get it; the cosmic horror comes through anyway. I'd like more story. More weird jumps to random offices. The mix between our tangible reality and the vastness of the unknown. I'm sorry it was cut so short, hence the refund.

I finished it in about 50 minutes; the puzzles are enjoyable, and the atmosphere holds throughout. The [spoiler]three-sound[/spoiler] puzzle may stretch believability in context, but that is a minor grievance. The dark ambient soundtrack drew me in once I learned it was on Cryo Chamber, I had to try it. For a one-person project, the craft here is considerable. Support these games.

Great visuals and fantastic atmosphere. Interesting lovecraftian concept, but it could have had way more. And the game is way too short, completed it in 56 minutes and was honestly baffled that it ended so soon and thus expected more even given its 7 dollar price range. Had this sitting in my wishlist for a while so overall I was pretty disappointed, the visuals and good sound aside.

Quite a trippy experience.

It's a fairly immersive, hour-long, one shot adventure. Which makes it an enjoyable little game to kick back and decompress with after work. However, there is no way I can recommend anyone buy this game for $8. I picked it up on summer sale for $2.39, which feels okay for the value.
