Dated and surface-level sci-fi, but completely saved by its cast. Despite its glaring technical flaws and a frustratingly shallow sci-fi plot, My Dorm - Season 1 still manages to be incredibly engaging. It’s a game that hooks you not because of its overarching mystery, but because the characters are genuinely adorable and highly endearing. Visually, there is no denying that the game features dated and stiff renders, and the sound effects—while a nice bonus compared to other titles that ignore audio entirely—remain heavily limited. Furthermore, the writing drops the ball on its biggest narrative hook: it throws clones into the mix but completely refuses to dive deeper or explain how any of it actually works, leaving a massive plot point feeling like an afterthought. Yet, none of that stops the game from being a fun, addicting ride. The developers nailed the character writing, making the cast lovable enough to carry the experience. You find yourself pushing past the rough edges and the half-baked sci-fi lore just to spend more time interacting with them. It’s flawed, but the charm of the girls makes it hard to put down.

Excellent art, writing, and especially pacing. There were barely any moments where the dialogue dragged, or I felt the need to go back and change a choice. The story hits all the clichés you're looking for in a harem AVN. Some cest and breeding themes, though it chickens out with the unnecessary step-everything background story. One thing that bothered me was Scarlet's name. It really doesn't suit her. Most of the names I wouldn't bother changing, but hers yes, call her something else. An easy recommendation.

My Dorm Season 1 is the kind of lazy cash-grab that makes one question the entire adult VN genre's descent into soulless repetition. The characters look like they were 3D-sculpted by someone who discovered the "smooth" tool in Blender and never looked back. Promotional material teases lively, expressive women with personality and charm. In-game? They're glossy, dead-eyed dolls with the emotional range of a department store mannequin. Dialogue is stilted, repetitive, and often painfully awkward, as if the writers gave up halfway through Season 1. The biggest outrage is the completely absent pregnancy system. Developers hyped it up as a core feature—impregnation with real consequences, family-building depth, etc. What do we actually get? You can technically "impregnate" someone, and then... nothing. Overall, its a decent game if you're into Harems and this game enables the harems quickly. There is a intriguing storyline that hasn't really evolved yet, so I'm interested to see where it goes.

It takes about 3 hours before the game starts to get interesting... although its not really a game... more like a visual novel with very little direction to choice to go in, very linear. The facial expressions are a little rubber like and over exaggerated. But the other more intimate moments have been good with nice camera work, but the quick auto bark/forth/back/forth cuts can be jarring and kills the mood for the player. The best part of this "visual novel" has to be pop culture references. Princess Bride, Matrix, Star Wars, Vanilla Ice, Lord of Rings to name a few. So that portion of writing as been great. Overall good so far. EDIT: I will say 2 things about the audio... the music is very short and meh... better off muting it and playing your favorite Lo-Fi mix from Spotify. And the constant water sound effects in the hot tub/pool is very... annoying...

I didn't like it. and please note this is my personal view on this game. Even though it says no one is related, it uses cloning and adoption (the clones are all "adopted" by their respective families) to get around being straight up incestual. Whether or not there's any real scenes or content involving the family members, they still all actively pursue a relationship with their "brother, son, nephew, or cousin". It's a shallow and lazy cop out to just writing a story about incest. This could've been a great sci-fi styled story about what clones are, how they would fit dynamically in a family, and the main character helping them grow and support them if/when they may find out they are clones. Instead it's a poorly written story about "totally not incest", incest. The issue isn't that none are actually related, it's that they grew up in a way that would make them family. (If you think I don't know what that's like, I assure you I do. I'm adopted and so is my brother. Neither of us are directly related to anyone in our family. Even so, they are our family, period.
